It is pretty stupid how the SEC is held hostage to the silly Tennessee-Alabama game that hasn't meant hardly anything in 40 yrs.

This is one of the dumbest statements I've ever seen. This game hasn't been relevant for 8 or 9 years. Only to the nation. Always relevant to us. 40 years? Even you dont believe that.

Georgia and AU also arent about to give up their game. Ask em.
And no, these two games wont be played as OOC games. Thats asinine and completely idiotic. These are and will remain CONFERENCE games.

LSU is not and will not ever be our rival. Sorry, we just wont be. Please stop obsessing over it. We just dont feel the way about LSU that LSU feels about us and that is only due to Saban being at Bama. If Saban isnt here LSU doesnt feel this way about the game. He's gone, aint coming back, get over it. Yea right

Lastly, LSU going to the BIG12 would mean the only school I have ever seen that constantly blames everybody else for their problems would FINALLY complain elsewhere. It's scheduling, its the weather, its the field, its the time of the game, its the officials. its the UT game, blah blah. I would love nothing more that for LSU to take that angst to the Longhorns and not have to listen to the constant whining all the time.

whenever I see someone talking about SEC expansion to include OU and OSU

The only reason the two are always paired together is the in-state politics of Oklahoma. They are a package deal.

I think the SEC scared and wants LSU out of the conference.

You see someone talking about it, but not the SEC. Sure, the SEC would take OU but not OSU...so it's a non-starter. The SEC expands for market share only, so the legit talk you have heard has to do with ACC territory on the East Coast.

nobody has had that decision to make. your hypothetical has nothing to do with Nebraska's choice to leave a crème puff division of what was, at the time, a power conference with an undamaged national reputation.

the big 12 north was by far the easiest division of the 4 toughest conferences. As much as the Big10 represents a greater history of college athletics and academic excellence, joining the conference does not make Nebraska a part of that history. It was a stupid decision.

I can't understand how you can possibly believe this.

The Big 12 was always dysfunctional. We all knew this. Everything happened on party lines and there was constant bickering. The day everyone found out that Texas had been talking to the Pac for almost a year about a mass exodus, was the day any trust that did exist died. Nebraska is isolated geographically and the opportunity to join the B1G was not open-ended (esp given their AAU situation).

And here they are making this decision and they point blank asked Texas to commit to the Big 12. Dodds arrogantly responded "Texas will do what's best for Texas." What decision was there really to make?

Plus, Baylor and TCU would probably destroy us for the next few years.

With Kevin Steele as your DC I think that's the only logical conclusion.

Surprised an Aggie fan mentions LSU's defensive coordinator in a thread about conference affiliation.
