...and not much against it's other two opponents...

LSU is likely to run the ball in this game not due to any philosophical commitment, but because Auburn’s run defense looks terrible. Especially with lawson presumed to not be at 100% (was seen on crutches again this week)

Thus the proverbial irresistible force running into a very, very moveable object.

How bad? Let’s look at Louisville’s game by game rushing yards for an illustration:

v Auburn 48-238
v Houston 26-70
v Clemson 28-19

The Cards rushed for NINETEEN yards against Clemson. They’ve only rushed for 89 yards on 54 attempts in games against non-Auburn defenses. And both of those were at home. But on a neutral field that was actually closer to an Auburn home game, Louisville turned into freaking Georgia Tech.

Their yds/carry goes from 1.65 to 4.96 when playing Auburn.

Jacksonville St. had 171 yards. LINK

How many yards rushing will LSU have against Auburn tomorrow?

Those teams also had a functionable QB. LSU, not so much.

Take out the qb that runs a 4.4 forty, and they ran 32 times for 132 total yards.

A lot of those were on quarterback runs. How much will LSU let Harris run knowing if he gets injured you are stuck with Jennings? Louisville also ran an offense Petrinio has never ran before and 5, 6, or 7 defensive players missed the JSU game

I take it you didn't actually watch the miss st LSU game?

harris looked great despite the low yardage. had a nice deep TD taken away from penalty. he made great decisions all night though. he's got the talent. coaches have to take the training wheels off.

LSU last in passing defense in the SEC.

DBU

USM held Dak to a lower percentage and 100 less yards.

Isn't LSU the only west team to play another west team so far?

If ours isn't functional, then what do you call yours? 5 picks vs inferior opponents....how is JJ going to handle DBU in Death Valley, in nearly 100 degree weather with 100k rabid cajuns screaming in his ear? Your boy be fukkkkedd

If they don't rush for over 1,000 it should be considered a loss.

Imo, if Lawson and Garret play, LSU won't break 200 yards even though they will have around 35 attempts. Maybe 175 yards rushing.

I don't think either is gonna play at this point though.

johnson is making his first real SEC road game appearance tomorrow in death valley. in 94 degree heat with the fans being extremely loud.

I'm curious as to how he handles all of the pressure.

How effective auburn's defense is directly correlates to the amount of pt Carl Lawson gets. If he plays we are a top 25 defense if he doesn't we are around 70ish... and that is the truth.

It might be time to include Muschamp in the Auburn offensive game planning, to slow the game down, and protect the D-line from LSU rushing game or it might get ugly.
