For me:

97 Florida- Herb Tyler's option run for a touchdown.

03 Georgia-Skylar Green's catch

07 Florida-Announcement of the USC score (agree with another poster, it was more the situation than anything)

08 Bama- block field goal to send it to overtime

From games I've been at, 06 blocked punt vs Florida

These two are very comparable.

Also comparable was Onterio McCalebb's game-winning run vs. LSU last year. Place was nucking futs. I was yelling so loud and so long I forgot to breath and started getting stars in my eyes.

Calvin Jackson's INT return for TD in the 1993 UF game.

Nix-to-Sanders in 1993 Iron Bowl.

"Go Crazy Cadillac"s TD run on the very first play from scrimmage of the 2003 Iron Bowl.

(P.S. For only filling about 70% of the seats with our fans, the Univ. of Phoenix Stadium was freakin' rockin' pretty good for Auburn at the BCSCG! )

I wasn't there for it, but I've been told by a couple people in attendance that this was the loudest they've ever heard the Shoe in person.

The 2006 Michigan game was probably the loudest I've experienced it.

LSU/UF 2007 was probably the loudest sustained noise I've ever experienced. I mean that place was absolutely rocking for a good 4-5 minutes.

Loudest moment has to be the earthquake game, but I wasn't there. Loudest moment I experienced was either Auburn 2007 or bama blocked FG in 2008. Mauck to Green in 03 could have been louder but its hard to tell when you're in the upper deck.

"07 Iron Bowl flyover"

The 2005 Bama/LSU pre-game flyover was the scariest thing I've ever seen at a sporting event. The cranes were fully extending during construction of BDS's north side upper deck and the aerial jumbo tanker flanked by 2 jets gunned it and couldn't have missed the crane by more than 100 feet.

LSU fans at the game can certainly vouch for it. I'm not sure what the LSU fans were thinking as it literally was coming straight at them. I believe there is a short youtube clip of it but I don't know how to link youtube.

2000 USC @ Florida - Lito Sheppard Punt return to end the half 31-21 after being down 21-3. That was for the SEC east title.

2000 UF Vs FSU
Bennie Alexander returns an INT in the 3rd quarter for a TD, but UF can't quite hold on, but still, the crowd went nuts.

1997 v FSU obviously.

2006 vs USC. One of the best moments in the swamp. Really, just a great moment. Really fricken loud too.

1995 Tennessee - TOny George INT return. Really fricking loud.

1999 Tennessee, 4th down stop to win the game. Really loud.

The swamp has had so many loud, amazing moments, I think people just kind of forget about them,

1993 FSU game was the loudest game at the swamp. Charlie Ward to Warrick Dunn for 79 yards put the dagger in us....

Certainly I've heard of several which I wasn't there for, most notably the "Earthquake game" vs Auburn in 88.

But for ones that I've actually been in attendance for in comes down to 3. Honorable mentions go to 07 Auburn when Flynn threw the winning TD pass to Byrd with a second to go. I was in the second row, so I was literally about 30 feet away and stadium went nuts. Another mention goes to the blocked fg vs Bama in 08 to send that game to OT. Occurred on opposite side from the student section, but it was amazing.

Far and away #1 for me though, and I'd think to get opinions on people who were at both this game and the Earthquake game to see which one is tops, but 07 Florida game when they announced USC lost. The LSU fanbase had developed a seething hatred for USC in the years preceding this, not to mention that they were #1 and we were #2 in the country at that point and playing the defending national champions led by Tim Tebow.
I think we were down by something like 10 or 14 points as that point in the game, but it changed after the announcement. There was literally a sustained vibration and noise level that I have never experienced before or since for what seemed like 10 minutes straight. If I recall correctly, the game was stopped for a longer than normal time until the stadium settled down a little. Absolutely amazing experience and game, the one that I'll be telling my grandkids one day that I was at

My nominee FTW: Bama-LSU '10 (student section)

Honorable mention: the "Cock-Block" at the Swamp from the field level. Sweet.

ETA: the SEC should use this thread as a promo. Great atmospheres and noise from all-over>

By far LSU Fla '07

Someone mentioned that is sad a great loud moment in your stadium is some other score. Let me elaborate on why that moment was significant. With a win, LSU would move ahead and be ranked number 1 in the AP for the first time since '58. We did not in '03 USC claimed that title and we won the Coaches Poll. If you had watched the YouTube video I hope u had turned your volume down. Tiger Staduim is the toughest venue for a college football game. It reached 132 decibels in that game of sustained noise after the announcement and had many other eruptions in that game after the score was announced. That game was a once in a lifetime experience that is rivaled by no other in college football

There's a few moments for me...

'85 Texas -- Texas QB was asking the refs to tell the crowd to quiet down and issue a penalty. Well the refs did, and the crowd got louder. Eventually, the ref said tough shite, hike the ball... QB was sacked.

'87 Texas -- Ags trash the Whorns 42-10 then go take a huge deuce on Notre Damned and Tim Brown in the Cotton Bowl.

'00 Oklahoma -- #1 OU versus #17 A&M... Insanity cubed.

'02 Oklahoma -- #1 OU goes down against A&M... People hanging from the oaks on campus overlooking Northgate. University Avenue has to shut down after crowd control gets out of hand.

'04 Kansas State -- KSU uses all three time outs in the first drive of the first quarter.

'10 Nebraska -- Record Crowd of 90,100, night game, Aggie Defense stonewalls the Corn and the last drive in the 4th quarter for Nebraska was absolute mayhem as the crowd is raining down 12th Man towels and stadium drinks during that drive. When they failed on 4th down, the house came down. University Avenue and Old College shut down once again.

Nebraska '10 was rocking i watched that the other night.

Here is shortly after we scored only be down by 3 and to make it 17-14 i believe. Then the significance and importance of winning the game had set in and we knew that LSU wasnt going to come back without us.

@2:22 after every 4th down conversion. I believe it was 5-5 on that drive alone. The noise built up and after the run and score by Hester the lid came off the staduim.
