Additionally, in 26 games as A&M's HC Sumlin has lost by more than 7 points exactly once.

frick your format

A&M will win if their defense is even remotely competent. This game basically boils down to this. If you compare the two teams as far as play making ability/ability to score, A&M wins hands down. I don't even like the Aggies, but a fool can see RSJ and Speedy tearing up most teams, SC included.

No we aren't.

Where are you aggies getting info on the USC secondary?

MASH was a poor term given it implies injuries and throwing together a bunch of scrubs/walk-ons, but the cornerback position is a weakness we will try and exploit.

Your #1 corner is a safety who switched positions for the first few games due to inexperience and the #2 guy is a true freshman. Behind them, there is exactly one player with SEC game experience.

The deciding factor is that Thompson has a lot more experience because he has had several opportunities to fill in for Connor Shaw because Shaw was a Fragile bitch.

And outside of the 2012 Clemson and ECU games, he has looked like the two-star player he was listed as coming out of HS. Last season alone his play almost lost USC the UCF and Mizzu games. They had to trot out an injured Shaw to save them both times. His only other significant action last year was against Coastal Carolina.

True, but Brison Williams has been at CB since the spring and we had DJ Swearinger playing some CB when he was here so its not the first time we've moved a safety to CB

I'd be more concerned if we were starting two true freshmen at CB.

We have a 3 year starter at CB out with injury. We have a true fish there also.

Might have a true fish at safety too. He's still battling a Sr for the spot.

This is all wrong.

Against UCF Thompson came in for an injured Shaw, who did not return for the game. He didn't look great, but he was the QB during the second half comeback.

Against Mizzou Thompson again didn't look great, but he outplayed Maty Mauk and was not the reason we were down 17-0. That would be Mike Davis fumbling inside the Mizzou 30 and then again inside the Mizzou 10.

Thompson also played significant snaps against UNC, Kentucky, Vandy, Arkansas and UT off the top of my head.

I'm not a huge Thompson fan, but saying he was the reason we almost lost to UCF and Mizzou indicates ignorance or stupidity.

No battling about it. Watts has already beaten out Honeycutt and Raven for the starting job.

That's more an indictment on Raven and Honeycutt than it is on Watts. He's a 4-star DB who was heavily recruited by multiple schools.

1. Keys to the game/Key matchups

Turnovers will be key.

Matchups...is honestly our entire D against their O, a whole lot of question marks there.

A&M can't have SC constantly running us down and SC can't have the ball constantly in the hands of an offense under Sumlin with the athletes that we have.

2. How South Carolina can/will win

They could potentially win a lot of ways, Spurrier is great, but the run game is the biggest factor. ESPECIALLY given the weather and the stadium atmosphere.

3. How A&M can/will win

Turnovers & as many 3 and outs as humanly possible will be needed. Gotta get our offense the ball to win.

4. Result and margin prediction

Assuming the weather isn't bad, our defense has made improvements over last year, and our offense is clicking...

35-28, Aggies > SC

That made me laugh--genuinely (not in an insulting way).

I can't provide an objective analysis, as I know far too little about SC's team, and I'm far too bias towards A&M's..

That said, I think we lose by 10-13 points.
Too many hurdles to overcome in game 1.
From their perspective, SC is gettin' us at the best possible time.

I suppose it depends, he was money against clemson in 2012. He could be good, but mostly he won't be that bad, and I think USC leans on running the ball.

They are good at it, and A&M sucks at defending it. I remember y'all just having everyone in the box and Jeremy Hill making y'all look like dickheads. Good times

Chuck Oliver is the biggest UGA homer on Atlanta radio. Change the station, Finebaum knows more and Finebaum knows shite.

The difference in the game will be Spurrier. He doesn't lose these. I do expect a good game though.

Jeremy Hill didn't start rolling in 2012 until late in the game and it was because of depth. A&M has depth now, albeit young.

I don't remember the 2013 game. Got too drunk and have no desire to watch it now

Mike Davis has a RZ fumbling problem huh? He did it against UCF as well.

He had 3 fumbles all year so I wouldn't call it a problem.

And all 3 were in the Redzone in close games?

We need to at least slow the run game somewhat and force them into some 3rd and long situations. Turnovers would be huge obviously. I think SC wins 31-24

Haha!

Chuck is an auburn homer on atl radio. Not uga.

Its the only reason i listen to his analysis, he is the only non-uga homer on atl radio.

His cred hurts a little bc last year this time he said hill was better than gurley and tre mason.
