Julio was very limited in this offense. He's got all of the potential in the world and will make an NFL very happy. I've got all the respect in the world for Julio. He's a very respectable, humble guy with a great work ethic. I got to talk to him a few times in the cafeteria, very nice guy. He's all about the team. He helped win us a NC as well...

Definitely got what I expected out of julio. Dude was pivotal in us winning a national title and rising back to prominence. Basically two 1000 yard seasons in a somewhat run happy offense. He was one of the cornerstones to our recent success.

i think julio would get bored sometimes. lead to his drops. but he always stepped up in big games like LSU, UT, and Aub.

Yeah the only one of the three that I can see a fanbase being dissapointed with is Julio. Yall had such high expectations for him. Finebaum started talking about him on his show his Sophmore year in HS, how Bama needed the guy and he would be the worlds greatest recruit.
There's the problem. You can't expect people to take you seriously when you bring Finebaum into discussions about football. All 3 done great. We always have high expectations that noone would meet but Julio did just fine IMO. He shined his FR year but dropped off his SO year due to injuries but he got healthy and really showed up for us late this year. I'd say he done great for our offensive style and helped bring us a NC.

I'm no Tide fan, but I don't think Julio matched the hype generated by his HS career and his freshman year. His sophomore slump [though due to injury and not his fault] probably took a bit of the luster off his career and this year I'm not sure if he did enough to make up for that [again, with it not being his fault]. That being said, he's a hell of a player and will do well in the NFL.

You could argue that Julio was the most heralded WR to ever enter the SEC. I can't think of a guy that was ranked as high as he was in the recruiting process.
Yet he's going to leave without even sniffing the top 30 in any category of the SEC record books.
I wouldn't label him a bust or a disappointment but the guy didn't live up to the hype either. AJ Green was clearly more talented. And a host of other guys - Jeffrey, Cobb, etc. will arguably have better careers.

Is it even a lock that Jones will go (i think the other 2 do). Alot of mocks and rankigns i've seen have him behind Green, Baldwin and Flloyd..a 4th WR is a late 1st round pick and Saban has said he wont encourage anyone not top 15 to go, so anyone else think he maybe stays and goes out next year as top 2 WR with Jeffrey?

He also plays in a run happy offense. I don't think anyone predicted him to put up record breaking numbers. He's one of my favorite players to ever wear a bama uniform. Dude always stepped up when we needed him, and like I said, he was a cornerstone of our recent success. What more can you ask for?

Patrick Peterson
All-American
Thorpe Award Winner
Bednarik Award Winner
Probably drafted second overall in the draft.
Easily goes down as one of the best CB ever in college football.

I am going to miss him. He is forever going to be the bar that future DBs at LSU will be compared to...and undeniably fall short. Just the best athlete in the SEC this year, probably the country.

Fans of the schools these guys went to.. do you guys feel like you got what you expected out of these guys?
Green is easily the most talented receiver in UGA history. Having said that, we definitely did not get the most out of A.J. Green was injured through most of the second have of last season and had to sit out the first 4 games of this season due to selling out his team for the price of a jersey. I wish him well but like many of our star players over the years, he could have contributed at a much higher level. That's why college teams might actually be better off with players like Tebow who are not high draft picks in the pros and as a result contribute at a high level for 4 years. And in Tebow's case, winning two NC's for his team.

Personally I never had really high expectations for Julio. I knew he would be good, but I never expected crazy numbers before he left UA. We just have never had the right kind of offense for that

I expected more from julio.

PP being one of the best CBs ever. Not a flame, and PP is a freak, but he just isnt one of the best to ever play the position.

PP lived up to expectations, I would think. Green may be the number 1 WR picked in the draft, can't go wrong with that. Jones, well, he never really disappointed, but he wasn't the beast that some thought he would be.
Overall I would say not a single one of them disappointed, but Julio, except for his freshmen year, didn't really open eyes like some thought he would.

A.J. had his fair share of setbacks, but seeing the Fulmeresque stage of Richt-s time in the Classic City, I do not begrudge him anything.
I wish him the best in the pros, I-d love to see him in Detroit with Stafford and that All World beast from Georgia Tech CJ, they-d be impossible to stop with a big back to complement the kid from Cal, but we-ll see.
A.J. will probably be drafted anywhere from the fourth to the tenth of the first round.
