I realized how small it was this weekend. The dimensions are smaller than a good bit of the high school fields around my area.

2 Questions:

1. Are the renovations including moving the fences back, so it’s not so small?

2. How in the world did nobody in the history of that program hit more than 40 home runs in their career before this year playing in that stadium?

How did y’all’s superior team and program not hit 20 homeruns this weekend? What did yall hit? 2 in our pre school field? You’d think yall would own us at our little field but you’ve lost 8 in a row there instead tigahs

This was discussed over the weekend. They've invested a lot of money into renovating. If I recall correctly from previous telecasts, there isn't a lot room to expand on that site. Vols fans can correct me if I'm wrong. I give them shite about the fences, but that is what it is. The main thing that is terrible about the facility is the turf. You just can't have turf instead of dirt even they don't want grass which I believe all outdoor baseball fields should be.

One thing you can't take away from them is how much Vitello has gotten the fanbase and administration to buy into the program in such a short period of time. That really is super impressive. I'll say this again too, it's fun playing them when they aren't acting like a bunch spoiled brats acting out against their parents. Even getting swept, I really enjoyed a good SEC baseball atmosphere on TV this past weekend.

We'd like to move the fences out, but there isn't enough space to expand. There are railroad tracks in use beyond left and center, so options are limited. The dimensions are the same for both teams.

I find this to be a lie. If you do research of other fields in the SEC, you will find that LNS is similar to other stadiums and even bigger in certain areas.

Alleys -365 LNS
Left/Right- 320 LNS
Center- 390 LNS

Vandy stadium-
Left field - 310
Right- 330

Auburn stadium
Left/Right- 315
Right C- 365
Center- 385
Left C- 365

Arkansas
Left- 320
Right center- 365
Left Center- 375

So here you are, but by all means only point out LNS dimensions.

Because baseball was ‘t serious till Vitello showed up. The record was set with only 165 at bats. Burke has already broke the record in 140 at bats.

Nope, don’t have enough room with the road that runs behind the stadium. But no need, as I have already proved there are many stadiums in the SEC, including the elite, are similar in size.

Why would we want the fences back? It’s a fun exciting brand of ball the fans enjoy.

It has the smallest OF in the SEC by a fairly significant margin.

to be fair, Vandy has a 35 foot high wall in LF, that's why it's 310.

Also, there's a section of wall in RF (320) at UT that's like what...6 foot high?? So it's a short wall AND only 320? Vandy's walls in CF and RF are all 9 or 10 feet high and still further away than LNS.

I get space is limited... there is clearly enough space to build a board displaying The VOLS long history of winning national baseball championships. Won't take up any space.

How on Earth has mighty LSU baseball NOT won a game in Knoxville since Vitello arrived? Is it 0-8 or 0-9 for LSU tiger baseball when playing on Rocky Top the last 4 or 5 years? I forget

How has Tennessee never won a baseball National Championship? Maybe they can't hit in a big park? Put up a bllboard with your big ZERO Champs board in what little extra space you have. Or maybe just have a blank space there... Either way, enjoy your regular season.

If you are going to accuse someone of a lie, it helps if you don't also lie.

LNS power alleys are 360 according to the Tennessee website.

lol you are incoherently screeching you are seething so hard. I’m sorry pointing out that LSU is 0-for in Knoxville against a natty-less baseball program like wee ole Tennessee ever since we hired Vitello is upsetting to you! Poor thing
