Fournette is a great running back and will probably have another huge year.

But Heisman voters want a Heisman moment against an excellent team. he will need to put up some legitimate stats against some legitimate competition to win the Heisman. Pure numbers does not tell the whole story.

Look at the teams you mentioned. It does paint a picture. An inaccurate picture, in my mind, but a picture nonetheless. He needs a game that defines his Heisman moment against a name team.

Not true. the Heisman is given out in early December. The Playoffs don't begin until late December, I believe.

For those arguing for Derrick Henry,

I think Fournette was the better back overall....but....

he couldn't even break a 100 yards against the three following teams:

MTSU
Louisianian Monroe
Charlton Southern

Because he got 18, 13 and 9 carries.

Fournette, against his worst opponents got 26 carries each. (Eastern Michigan and Syracuse) It MIGHT have helped Fournette's case had y'all rescheduled the game that was cancelled, but the knock on his performance in your biggest game of the year would still stand.

my comment pretty much means that Fournette is better than Henry is almost every facet of the game and if they were on the same team, Fournette would get most of the carries and produce better. Plain and simple

Understood, and you might very well be right. But Heisman voters don't vote in suppositions. They can't imagine what might've happened. They can only go by what did happen.

Fournette's is forthcoming

This. Exactly. He is a great back and will get what is coming to him. Besides.....too often Heisman winners fail in the NFL. Fournette will make millions in the NFL. Asked if he would rather have the Heisman or make millions in the NFL over a long period of time and possibly make the HOF, I think he would pick the money and HOF.

He barely played against those teams. Pretty sure he had 18,13 and 9 carries in those games. How many carries did LF have when LSU played their scrubs? probably a lot more than that.

And wasn't Henry sick during one of those games, but tried to play anyway?

Flawed reasoning. Saban didn't pad Henry's stats in those games. Henry only averaged 13 carries in those games and didn't play much, and against CSU not at all, in the second half...

Fournette is a good back. But like the whole LSU team, he struggles after getting hit in the mouth. Prima donnas.

Fournette and Myles Garrett are very similar, they pad their stats vs the cupcakes and mail it in against the big boys. I don't think LF7 is in Gurley's class and that will be shown in the coming yrs on Sunday's.

It's come to the point on the SECr where it's nearly impossible to distinguish between LSU fans and a parody of LSU fans.

At first I thought you were just a troll, but you really are this fricking stupid, aren't you? You're seriously looking at numbers from a game that was over at the end of the first quarter, that Bo Scarbrough was in by the end of the second quarter, and that both Scarbrough and Damien Harris each got more carries than Henry? And you're yapping about him not getting 100 yards? Jesus effin christ. You're too stupid for even an LSU fan.

You idiots can keep repeating this, but when you look at the facts it just makes you look like a moron.

When you look at conference stats only you will find LF is better then Derrick Henry, Todd Girley and Herschel Walker.

SEC rushing stats:
LF- Att 193 Yds 1114 Avg 5.77
DH- Att 286 Yds 1623 Avg 5.67
TG- Att 154 Yds 884 Avg 5.74
HW- Att 216 Yds 1084 Avg 5.01 *(taken from his record breaking sophmore season in 1981)
