3. Who is the "big name" you could steal that's clearly better than Miles? Meyer and Saban aren't leaving. I'm drawing a blank here.

Wait, you're saying that because Meyer or Saban aren't coming that we should just stick it out with Miles? Are you serious with this shite?

Tom Herman is going to get to choose a tier 1 program to go to when the timing is right.

He isnt going to LSU

Comments of this type always interest me. I would assume that the reason for the statement is money alone.

It cant be based on money alone because LSU has the highest paid coaching staff in the country.

I think they get one of the following

Dan Mullen
Larry fedora
Paul chryst
Pat Narduzzi

Any of those would be solid arse hires

Tom Herman isn't going to LSU this year, just like Jimbo wasn't last year. He's a pipe dream, at best.

They'll end up with like Bo Pelini or something and it will be hilarious.

I know you would like to believe that. But remember, we replaced the best coach in the country with an idiot, and still averaged 10 wins a year.

My question is will the governor step in this time and stop them? Last time he said the state couldn't afford Miles' buy-out. LSU was going through major financial problems and could barely afford to keep the doors open for classes. LINK

I have to assume LSU has rich boosters like most every SEC school. Are they going to shoulder the buy-out through their private donations? How will this look when Louisiana is one of the poorest states in America? How will it look considering Baton Rouge just basically got destroyed by floods?

LSU, you have more important things to worry about. Miles is a good man and should stay for at least 5 more years.

Jeff long plays chess while everyone else plays checkers

Remember when Arkansas offers Les the head coaching position? Everyone laughed but it made lsu have to re up Les. That re up is the sole reason he wasn't fired last year they owe him and his staff slot of money

UH going to the Big 12 would literally have an immediate negative impact on every program in that conference while providing zero benefit beyond just adding another team to the conference.

Herman or Fisher, LSU running a power spread offense would be a beautiful sight for LSU fans.

LSU fans have treated Miles like crap for the last few years. No coach who values job security will be seeking employment with LSU.

LSU fans will understand this when the next hire is underwhelming.

I would consider these hires, in order of probability:

Jimbo
Herman
Kelly
Shaw
Bielema
Petrino
Mullen
Aranda
Kiffin

You obviously don't know what probability means.

South Carolina is a good job for a coach. The fans are passionate, loyal, and patient. We won't fire a coach because he didn't win the natty every 3 years. If Herman would have came, and convinced muschamp and trob to come too, holy hell. SC would be stackkked. SEC frickedddddd.

But this did not happen. Although with all the young talent taking lumps now, by 2018, one of the top teams of the sec.

I see a whole lot of hopeful spite towards LSU in this thread.

I get it. I would be worried also that LSU will be upgrading the head coach.

Also, it's funny to read other fanbases call LSU's fanbase crazy.

Alabama fans? Really? Auburn fans? Really

Give me a fricking break
