So let's say that one play was getting loud on offense, does it nullify my informed opinion?

I wasn't insulting LSU fans. I said they aren't as organized as to when to be loud/quiet. I've worn purple and gold quite a bit and had this discussion with LSU fans who agree with me.

They did a real good job booing our injured players too...

Great job 12th Man

Either you have future Oscar-winning defensive players or you need to get a new strength and conditioning coach since they were getting cramps in the first quarter of an 80 degree game.

I'll agree with your implication. That was embarrassing.

The boos started on the first drive. I had to explain to my cohorts that even if LSU's strategy is to fake injuries, it's the first fricking drive.

So we deserve some ridicule on that front.

However, the cramps on the second drive were a bit peculiar. I'll remain ambivalent regarding those.

Kyle field sounded like a funeral home.

It was pretty weak considering that Texags thread about Kyle Field > Tiger Stadium in the offseason.

Maybe it is because the faking of cramps started on the first drive. I would never boo even a fake injured player, but the LSU fans around us even said they were faking. Until there is a real penalty for it, teams will do that. And until they stop it, fans of the other team are going to get pissed off by it.

I think "loud" reaches a point it doesn't really matter how louder it gets. "Loud" is over rated.

Maybe so. But I have to give the benefit of the doubt that early in the game. I just don't see the point in appearing to be an a-hole from the outset.

Like I said, I was more skeptical during the second drive.

The 11 AM kickoff definitely hurts the noise

But all that 'practice...'

Why practice sober at midnight?
That's what a bottle of Jack at noon is for.
How inefficient.

Guy obviously knows what he's talking about.

11AM kickoffs will never have the same noise as a night game, everyone should know that so I'm not sure why there's even a comparison being made between the 2 stadiums and how loud they are. I will say, it's much safer for an opposing fan to guy to a game at Kyle compared to Tiger Stadium. At least you'll probably come out of there without a drink thrown at you.

I've heard a lot of Aggies say that they have one of the loudest venues in college football. I've even heard a lot say that it's no doubt louder than Death Valley.

I was at the game Saturday. Now, I wasn't going to judge the loudness of Kyle Field based on an 11am kickoff game, but I saw a lot of Aggies posting on facebook and twitter that it was the loudest they can remember Kyle Field being in a long time.

Yes, the stadium was decently loud. However, it was more of a dull roar compared to the higher-pitched, head-rattling sound you'd experience in Death Valley.

Just wanted to see if any Aggies on here think this was one of their louder games and if they still believe Kyle Field is louder than Tiger Stadium.

Aggie fans, promise me that if you still think this is true, you'll come visit Baton Rouge next year.

I agree...it's not nearly as loud as the Aggies think it is. Besides the construction of the stadium, the other problem is all of the choreographed cheers. They are not loud at all. The dull noise when the visiting team gets under center isn't very loud either and not very distracting.

I think you got it backwards, buddy. Cramping is a fatigue/hydration issue that should show up later in the game not earlier. Definitely not during the first drive.

Lsu has 15,000 more sestas and an enclosed stadium. Common sense tells you tiger stadium SHOULD be louder. I have been to a dozen games at tiger stadiums. The biggest difference is the noise is constant at Kyle field, not louder. Aggies also fill the seats earlier and stay the entire game so volume is consistent.

No it was not as loud as a night game on Saturday. Never will be at any stadium.

LSU has 5,000 more seats and has never had an actual attendance above 90,000.

Correct me if I'm wrong... But in the 2nd half I could've sworn it said you guys had 87,000 on the jumbotron and it was the 5th largest crowd in history. We only hold 92,600.
