Completely incorrect.
The two least deserving teams to go to the BCS title games by far are:
2001 Nebraska - Not only did they not win their conference, or even their division, but they got annihilated by the team that did (Colorado). They were 4th in Coaches and AP polls, yet somehow were #2 in the BCS poll.
2003 Oklahoma - Blown out by 4 touchdowns in the Big 12 title game, yet somehow remained #1 in the BCS poll over LSU and USC.

Except everyone who has half a brain or doesn't hate Bama knows Bama was the best team in college football that season. One OT loss in the regular season doesn't change that.

I was including teams that played in the title game, not just the champions.
I have a hard time claiming any BCS champion was undeserving. If I had to choose, I'd say LSU 2007.
