Wrong thread. Plenty of opportunities for you to cry about the refs somewhere else. This thread is about the awesome story between Les and this incredible kid.

I am sure any program would move heaven and earth to make that happen. Les is a great guy, as are almost all the coaches.

We may try to demonize some on here, but that is bullshite, I am sure all do a lot of things behind the scenes that are great.

I'm guessing it was the Aggy who got bashed earlier in the thread. His post was whacked.

I hope the fact that he is guaranteed admission to the game gives him enough to hang in there...as a Dad, this just kills me. Wish there was something WE could do...hire him and his folks a limo or something. Something. Anything.
I can just about guarantee you that Sid and his family will be treated like dignitaries for that game. I'm sure Les will contact Nick/UA and accomodations will be made to get that kid to the game first class.

No idea. I just saw the responses on the first page calling him out and his post was gone. It was obviously in pretty poor taste.

This goes well beyond football here. Les is good guy that seems to genuinely care. Despite most of you morons thoughts, most of these guys are good people.
Nice to see Les help ease the pain for this family.

I can just imagine Sid sitting in the luxury suite with Terry saban and kathy miles... that would be awesome.

Hang in there Sid, just 2 more weeks.

+1

Hopefully Sid is still alive and LSU, Bama, the SEC, and all involve figure out a way to get him to the game.

Then BH6 drops a few bombs, LF7 has 3 heisman moments in one game and LSU wins 21-0. & Geaux Sid & again :prayerssent:.

Why isn't there a prayers sent emoticon yet? That one would get used alot on this family of websites.

The posts in this thread, particularly from the non LSU fanbases, are what true SEC fans are all about. Football is a game, but when it comes to things that truly matter, we're all in this together.

Just another example of Sid's short life doing good things for the world around him.

Geaux Sid, godspeed young man!!

I cannot imagine what this family is going through.

Les is a class act and I hope Sid can be in the coaches box/on the sideline Nov 7th...something tells me Sid will make it until then...payers that he does.

Having 12 & 14 yr old sons this really hits home..

New personal record for awarding upvotes in a single thread. Well done, Rant, especially the two schools in the great state of Alabama.

I can guarantee this too. If not, he can have my ticket. It's in the nose bleeds though. I wouldn't even give it a second of thought before giving up my seat.

Just curious, but how did Miles meet this kid? Did he just call him one day? and if so, how did he learn about him?

Les Miles is a great coach and a great man. LSU is super lucky to have him and it is embarrassing how many LSU fans trash him and constantly nitpick his coaching decision. No coach is perfect, but Les is a damn good one. And he is also just a great guy and ambassador for the University.

I don't resent those fans, having dabbled in those waters a few times. Some of the things that Les has done (the Ole Miss game, the QB situation) are just profoundly crazy, things far lesser coaches would never do.

That being said yes:

--He's a great coach
--A great man with a great family
--Yogi Berra of the SEC
--Maybe a national treasure

Just to answer everyone's questions he basically said that Bear Bryant made every future coach of his generation hardasses and Les was going to make all the new coaches "softy poo bears".

This post is to get the attention off of that piece of trash. Focus on the true meaning of this post.

Sid was an LSU fan, once he was diagnosed with his cancer the story got picked up by th media. Les called Sid and befriended him. (Knowing how big of a fan he was)
