matter how you shake it, Mark Ingram isn't a top-10 running back. The great part of it is, you don't have to take my word for it...his numbers prove it.
He averaged 98 yards from scrimmage per game last year. Do the numbers show 10 backs that out produced him?

Back because I forgot to upvote the OP.

So if LF was so much better, why didn't he get the ball more? If he avg a first down ever 2 carries, why wouldn't he get the carries? Where did all the other plays go? You have the same guys coaching this year right?

Because the games were already in hand. There was no need to run him 46 times against Auburn.

Doesn't mean he isn't good, but he is not close to Herschel, Bo, or Heisman Henry.
He's the 36th leading rusher in SEC history. If he maintains his pace (163 YPG) from last season and we don't have a postponement, he will be 13th passing Trent Richardson, Mark Ingram, TJ Yeldon, Kenneth Darby, Bobby Humphrey, Shaun Alexander and Derrick Henry by game #4. By the time we play Bama on 11/5 he would be with striking distance of Bo for #4 all time. By the end of the season he should be over 5,000 yards and #2 all time behind only Herschel by about 150 yards.
If LSU makes the playoff and goes to the NC, he could pass Herschel. Assuming he averages 25 carries per game like last year, he would finish with 375 carries for 2,445 yards and a career total of 5,432. That would be more than Herschel's total of 5,259. He would also finish his 3 year career with 862 carries - 132 less than Herschel.

The fear is getting closer. 17 days is not enough time to for y'all to grow some nuts.

This bothers you more than it should. why are you worried about one player on a team that your favorite team has beaten 5 times in a row?
Ikr? This is almost a carbon copy of the UF thread about Hurd yesterday.

You're an ijit, son
Fournette will be drafted 25 picks earlier than Henry was. If he played at Bama he would be the best back Bama had in its entire history.

In games vs top 50 defenses (AL, FLA, MISS, ARK).. Fournette had 442 yards (110.5 avg) which isn't that bad.
He would still be all-sec if he averaged 110 yards against every opponent. How many runningbacks in the SEC averaged 110 yards a game?

Dude, Pierre Thomas was a better back than Ingram will ever be. He isn't top 10 in the league and i'm a saints fan.

Fournette passing the rushing totals of every Bama RB in history isn't going to be a matter of "if" but "when".

If Henry got to play the 128th, 127th, 109th, and Syracuse he puts up even more yards.
Posted on 8/17/16 at 2:02 pm to LSU82BILL
Leonard Fournette rushed for more yards in a season than any SEC RB ever sans Henry (and had more YPG, even against common opponents, than Henry). Including Herschel, Bo, and McFadden. With a cancelled game.
I don't think overrated means what you think it means.

He is overrated. I don't understand why most everyone thinks he is great.
He's just not impressive on the field, unless he is playing against bad teams. Tbought i must be missing something, then i check his stats and they are around average. Chubb is on a different level than Fournette. Cant believe anyone outside of LSU thinks different. I'd take Jeremy Hill or Guice over Fournette any day.
One TD against top 20 teams his first two years. Less than six YPC vs conference.

You know Herschel Walker averaged 5.19 ypc over his career right? Guess he is overrated too.
