I don't know why some still think the SEC will only get in 3

4 for sure now with Vandy punching their ticket, probably 5 (either Alabama or Florida) and possibly 6 (both of them).

I'd probably guess 5.

Going into last week I thought there was a better chance of getting in 5 instead of just 3. I think its going to be just 5 with the chance of Alabama stealing one of the spots from Vandy or Floria. Although I think there is a much bigger chance of it being Florida. It would be very funny to see 6.

Lunardi usually nails this.

He usually nails his final projection, but everything before that is tainted by his use of BPI.

He nails his last bracket usually, at least who's in and out. He's not always great with the seeds. Until his last bracket though he still uses BPI as a criteria as he and ESPN continue to try to make that a thing. So you'll see a pretty dramatic shift in the last couple of days before selection from him, because the last bracket is the only one he's held accountable for.

ETA: somebody beat me to it

Getting six in is a big deal for the SEC basketball image.

Florida is in a free fall right now. Gotta play UK at home, but should end the season with a big win over Missouri.

If Bama wins out the regular seaskn, I think they're in. Tough to do though with playing at Georgia.

There's no way that the 1-seeds in the Bracket Matrix will hold.

You're not going to have all 1-seeds from 2 conferences. Either Virginia or UNC will take one when it is all said and done.

Wow - that is the worst finish imaginable outside of losing the last 2. Lose to Kentucky (probably) and then get a totally worthless win over Missouri that will tank your RPI even more.

I still remember 2005. Every pundit on TV picked UW-Milwaukee to beat us and we still showed up and moped around like it was a November game against Alabama State and lost.

It was so predictable. I didn't want to believe it would happen again.

The best was the SEC Championship season. Go into the tournament as a #2 seed, try our hardest to lose to Florida Atlantic in game 1 and then finally succeed in game 2 against Kent State.

Gottfried should have charged a 5% fee for all the SEC coaches he got jobs by losing to them in March : Buzz Peterson in the NIT at Tulsa, Heath in the NCAAT with Kent State and then Pearl in the NCAAT at UW-M.

I think we need 3 more wins to make it.

Not that it makes a damn bit of difference, but LSU is currently (6-3) vs this group with @UK left.

Where there is a will, there is a way. Just look at Vandy...
