I would put:

#4 seed: Kentucky
#5 seed: Texas A&M
#8 seed: South Carolina
#10 seed: Vanderbilt

Barely In: Alabama. The next two games are both must win.

Barely Out: Florida. They will stay out unless they can beat Kentucky.

If A&M wins the next two games, there is really no rational way to justify seeding Kentucky higher than A&M. We have a better record, won the conference, and won the head-to-head.

If I am not a 1, 2 or 3 seed the best seed to be IMO is a 6 seed.

That is a great spot to make a run to the sweet 16/elite 8.

No. Not really. I'll take your word for it, though.

UGA won the SECT, and entering the SECT they were 4-12 in the SEC and 13-16 overall

No way LSU makes it unless you win out and win the SEC tournament.

if LSU wins out and can get to the semi-finals of the SECT they have at least a chance. I don't think they necessarily need to win the SECT to make it. A road win at Kentucky would be a huge boost. But, anything short of that, then yes they'll need to win the SECT to make the NCAAT
