But you're wasting your time trying to convince anyone Bama's offense is great until they play a defense that is proven.

Can you give me the game that we start playing a defense worth a damn? You already said OM isn't. UT, Arky, and ATM probably aren't either. The LSU defense got taken to the woodshed last night, and UAB put a shite ton of yards on Miss St.

So when do we face the ever elusive legit defense? Auburn? Lulz.

And then Bama will drop 600 yards and 42 points on that proven D, and then that D will magically suck the next day.

Sounds good. Hopefully we get to play a proven defense in the Playoff because we ain't playing one in the SEC the rest of the season.

I dont know. Most people can understand that not enough teams have played quality teams to say who is legit or not but Bama fans can't. There aren't too many looking good on Bama's schedule right now. So all you can do is compare what they did vs what other teams did against the same opponents. OM might have a good D but there is nothing that has proven it yet.

As for Auburn I'm not deeming them great either. They did shutdown Arky in the second half and hold KSU to 40 yards rushing and it's lowest points total in over 3 years but it's too early to tell how good those offenses are either.

So I assume you are of the opinion that as of now Auburn's offense isn't really any good either, correct?

Because KSU couldn't stop ISU and we all know Arky and San Jose State stink defensively.

It's fricking sad when damn near the entire SEC looks to have a shitty defense.....WTF has happened to this conference?

I'd argue Alabama, Ole Miss and State have very good defenses and that Auburn, LSU and Florida have solid units.

I think that the rest of the year (as last night did) will prove that giving up 16 pts and 390 yds to West Virginia was a pretty decent performance, not the dumpster fire we all thought initially.

Bama's offense is coming along nicely ..... Defense made some improvements against our first SEC opponent. We made careless mistakes that will be fixed.

They haven't proven they are as good as last year's yet either. And I have never said they have. Right now we won't know until KSU and Arky get into conference game against good teams and see what they score on them.

I love the whining about bubble screens. You put the ball in your playmakers' hands in the best situation to make something good happen. Kiffin is doing just that. And it is working.

So is your theory that at this point nobody is good on offense or defense?

Can't really put Cameron in there. He doesn't have much to do with the LSU offense.

That is not what I said. I have said a hundred times it's too early to go deeming teams as great or not. All you can do is look at what others have done against the same teams and guess based on who is usually good and hasnt done anything to show they are different this year.

Could Bama's offense be great? Yes. But they could also not be nearly as good as they look if it turns out all the defenses they have played sucks.

Is that a new development? Because all we heard about last year was the genius Cam Cameron and how he brought a new, pro mentality to the LSU offense.

Well I actually agree with you.

I do think at this point you can clearly determine which teams (and units) are terrible, but yea totally agree way too early to sort things out.
