Like I have pointed out PPP is the best statistic when comparing offenses across systems and tempos, but I dont expect you to admit that I am correct.
First, you have moved the goal posts a time or two already in the thread. Second, ppp is a good measure of offensive efficiency, but it, like any other single stat, doesn't tell the whole story. Trying to win an argument about best offense and defaulting to a single metric is overly simplistic and a poor way of evaluating the topic.

The hate for Kiffin is getting a bit out of hand. Dude knows offense, and he knows how to help QB's and receivers.

I have been amazingly consistent in this thread boss.

Its the best stat we have when talking about different systems.

Don't get them started again on how he was the reason USC was good, despite all the other coaches winning without him but him not being able to without them.

say wut

In his first year just led LSU to being the first school in SEC history with a 3,000 yard passer, 2 1,000 yard receivers, and a 1,000 yard rusher.

A turn around from the prior year with the same personnel that is night and day.

But yeah, he totally sucks

We are scary young this year at all of our skill positions on offense. They will gel soon and you all know it.

its funny that last year they claimed efficiency stats were flawed

At the end of the day, in a game, the offense's goal is to score as many points as possible, not to have a higher per play scoring average.

So your first post about highest rated offense was really about most ppp?

Are we confined to reducing the conversation to a single stat?

No, it was YPG. Rated was the wrong term.

We can use any state you like as long as it pp not pg.

I could have coached that 09 bama D to a natty. The talent was unreal. Smart is just a pawn.

When did I do that?

Yes that is the point of the game of football. But when trying to figure out who is doing the best job as an OC, its a very ancillary stat.

The more we use the clearer the picture, but we also have to account for opponents, game situations and other variables especially so early in the season when the sample size is smaller.

There's just something odd about the Gus/Rhett relationship.

Oh, Gus is the better OC, Rhett is just his girl Friday.

Cam and Lane... meh.
