Hopefully he's dedicated himself to S&C because he was overmatched on the back end of the year. We're not talking doubleteams either. He was losing-badly-in one on one matchups. He's a better player than that. Not as good as non-con and early on mind you. But nowhere near as bad as the guy that got mauled by La'El Collins on Thanksgiving Night in College Station.
I sum that up to the defense being on the field repeatedly and him being an 18 year old. With a year in the S&C program he should be bulked up and hopefully more capable of sustaining his performance further into the season.
The combination of him, Obiaha and the other kid they signed on the interior last year should help them out immensely at the point of attack. The problem is that even with the addition of the young pup and both Obiaha and Garrett having another year of experience and S&C work in the offsesason, teams like LSU, Arkansas, Alabama and Auburn are returning a ton of OL talent. I see them putting up more of a fight but it'll be another year before they can truly hold their own.

Garrett will be fine this year. He was one of the strongest players on the team even last year

The greatest DE to only record two sacks in SEC play

That's only half the battle though. The guy who runs your weight program is called the Strength & Conditioning Coach or Coordinator.
Not only do you need to be able to squat and power clean like a madman, but you've got to be in the right kind of shape to summon that strength in the 10th, 11th and 12th games of the year. When Championships are won.

Cool story.
There is no evidence Myles is out of shape but good try

Never heard of him, so I googled.
You know how NFL.com has a scouting profile on every player right before the draft. Lance wrote all those last year. His daddy coaches for AZ and he's pretty funny on the radio too.

I said Barnett had the better season, but a 6.2 4.9 possibly 5 second guy, low ceiling there, but he's still a great player!
Hard to disagree with anything you're saying here. Garrett is a probable future first-round pick. Barnett had the most impact last season. Both are talented players.

Where did I say that he is out of shape? I said he was out of shape and that I hoped for the kid's sake he dedicated himself to S&C. He's too good to be a non-factor in the back end of the schedule and TAMU needs him to be competitive as well.
You replied that he was one of the strongest kids on the team last year and I said his conditioning didn't allow for him to express that during the stretch run at the end of the season. Ultimately, that lack of condition was exposed as LSU completely and utterly dominated TAMU on the ground in large part by running right at him repeatedly.
Nowhere did I say that he is out of shape. Why not try a little harder to respond to what I did say rather than something that no one has said.

A 3rd down pass rushing specialist playing for 3rd and Chavis. Should see great things this year from MG!

I love A&M, but man I really don't like you guys at all.
They have a couple good posters but like someone else said, their d-bags are really over the top.
They accuse everyone of being an alter so don't feel special.
