First off Zierlin is one of the most informed college football -> Nfl scouts in the nation, he gets the most mocks right more than anyone else.
He had MG as the number one edge rusher in cfb ahead of Bosa, Oakman and Barnett at 8,
quote:

Von Miller is back at Texas A&M and wearing the No. 15 jersey with the name "Garrett" on the back. Actually, that "Garrett" belongs to Myles Garrett, who finished his freshman season with 11.5 sacks while taking on quality tackles in the process. Garrett might already be the best pure edge rusher in the country thanks to his upfield burst and destructive inside move. Garrett has cat-quick change of direction to keep him in more plays than the norm and he's surprisingly difficult to redirect once he starts to turn the corner in his pass rush. He can still be pushed around a bit at the point of attack, but his frame should fill out as he gets older.

he says Barnett has no explosiveness. BTW these are Myles vs Barnett measurables.
Derek Barnett 6-2.5, 4.96 40, 29.3 VJ. Derek runs a 4.96 40 on turf, just to let you know those numbers are.2 seconds slower on grass, plus those were opening numbers no way its even that high.
Myles Garett 6-5.4, 4.46 40, 40.2 VJ. Myles ran a 4.46 on Grass
Would like to see someone take Barnett over Garrett.
If im not being bias I think barett was better last year, but I'm confused with people calling Garrett overrated, I think he has the potential to be the number one overall pick.

NFL.Com Top Edge Rushers.

I said Barnett had the better season, but a 6.2 4.9 possibly 5 second guy, low ceiling there, but he's still a great player!

Myles Garrett probably is the best edge rusher in the nation. Problem is he can get pushed around by teams that run right at him and make him totally irrelevant. He'll make a fantastic OLB in the NFL.

Never heard of him, so I googled.

From his wikipedia page:
quote:

Lance Zierlein's career began at the age of twelve as the sports editor of the Rosenberg Middle School Town Crier. He graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School in 1988. Following high school he attended Tulane University. After college there is a six-year gap where no one is quite sure what he did.

Seems legit.

He was a true freshmen that really only got pushed around by Collins last year. He has the frame to stop the run, and he'll fill out. He could could be a 3-4 OLBer, but he could also be a 4-3 DE.
