For what? For questioning him? Do you think he is the only person that is being questioned? It could have been as simple as them asking him if he knows anyone that might want to harm her. Being an ex-boyfriend he SHOULD be questioned.
I'm really not following your thinking process here. Had they named him a suspect with no evidence...ok. I could understand where you were coming from. Chances are the media saw him brought to the police station and ran with a lot of speculation.

Thank you for that break down.
Like I said I didn't know about any of that.
Not sure why I got downvoted so bad just for being ignorant of the situation.

From what I understand if he doesn't get drafted at all he cannot enter next years draft. He would need to get drafted and not sign a contract to join next years draft. Best he can do is be an I drafted free agent.

If he is drafted, he refuses to sign and sits out a year. Difference in salary is about $7-8 million spread out over 4 years from middle of first to a late round pick. Once the predetermined rookie deal is signed, he's stuck with it for the first four years. Teams can't adjust the salary if he was cleared even if they wanted to.
If he doesn't sign, he can sign a 2 year free agent deal with any team at league minimum salary non-guaranteed. Beginning pay would suck, but he could sign a new contract after only 2 years.
He is not eligible for the supplemental draft. It's designed for underclassmen that didn't declare for the draft and became ineligible for the upcoming college season. His agent already tried this route and was denied.
If he doesn't sign with anyone, he "may" be able to be drafted next year with hopes of maintaining first or second round status and getting a strong 4 year deal. There is not much difference in rookie salaries 3-7 rounds. There is no precedent for this situation, so who knows what the ruling would be. He would have been better off not scaring teams and getting drafted. He could then not sign and re-enter next years draft ala Bo Jackson.
Shi**y deal any way you look at it, but it's all about money at this point. His agent told teams he wouldn't sign which is why he isn't drafted. Otherwise, someone would have taken a chance.

Don't worry my friend, their day of reckoning is coming. They have no idea how bad it's gonna be on this board. And I'm gonna burn the whole thing down, I'm gonna bring the whole frickin diseased corrupt temple down upon their heads, it's gonna be Biblical.

This is not accurate. He must be drafted and not sign to be able to enter next years draft.
collins must be drafted to be able to enter next years draft

Gotta perform... 'Else you guys are gonna win the offseason next year also... I think we'd hear less shite talking if you guys actually did something.

If I'm GM, I draft him in 7th round with intention to pay him 1st round money if it turns out he's not a murderer... What a steal it would be... And only risking a 7th round pick... Put it this way: Would you trade a 7th round pick for a first rounder? When all you have to lose is a 7th round pick if the 1st rounder never shows???

I have a really strong intuitive feeling about where this is headed. I'm really hoping it's just indigestion.

Meh, I'm good with TN being good again. Besides I don't rue for anybody.

Honestly, the longer the delay, the worse it's gonna get. So, if I were an opposing fanbase, I'd be praying for the Vols to do well and just get the inevitable pain over with.

I'd rather hear about actual accomplishments.. You know.. As opposed to what you could/will do. The season starts in a few months. Get your kicks while you can.

That's what every opposing fanbase has been doing for the last 8 years.
