I dont think its that crazy. We would have to play a perfect game and execute at a high level, but we could give Alabama a game.

There is a 50 yard line that won't be crossed.

I love the LSU fans angry at A&M for something an Ohio State Buckeye said. So much fun.

that'll set up a big showdown next week in Tuscaloosa that not a lot of people nationally are even thinking about but A&M by the end of the day could give Alabama their biggest test

He said all that for the chance to be the only one "nationally" to call it. He does this ALL THE TIME.
If it goes down that way, he'll remind everyone of this. If the exact opposite happens, the narrative will be blown to hell, anyway, and they'll be drooling over a ND Oregon matchup for the last few weeks of the season.

It starts out noting Herbsteit being part of the cattle call saying OU blows out ND. Perfect indeed.

Yea like on 1/9

Bam. Thank you.

Kirk is a fool.

How to play TxAM was proposed by Florida, confirmed by LSU and will be perfected by Bama. There is just too much time and film between the Florida game and Bama game for Saban to work with.

The reason why I say that is because of Johnny Manziel and because of the style of offense A&M runs. LSU is going to line up in an I formation and average 0.3 yards per carry against Alabama.

He is right about the offense LSU will run. It will be embarrassingly awful and simplistic.

One thing he is dead wrong about though, it isn't offense that will beat Alabama. It's defense and A&M doesn't have one.

He at least has some reasoning behind his opinion. I dont think i agree with it though. It took UF and LSU a little over a quarter to figure out how to stop A&M. I doubt it takes bama that long. Plus bama has a better offense than both LSU and UF. On top of the game being in Tuscaloosa...yeah i dont really see that game being close. Then again saturdays game may not be either.

Once again, an analyst enamoured with offense forgets that evethough LSU's passing attack isn't great, the rest of the team is.

I can guarantee LSU will rush for more than 0.3 yds/carry. I can also guarantee that Bama will do the same thing to Manziel that LSU and Florida did. THey will contain and force him to beat them with his arm on the road in BDS. I like Manziel, but that won't happen.

Even if the Ags somehow approach 30 points against Bama we will have no answer for AJ and the Tide running game.

I don't think you have to worry about approaching 30 points against Bama

Well damn what does that say about the rest of the conference defensively considering A&M is 7th in the conference in PPG allowed and 33rd in the nation?

Jordan Jefferson FTW.

ETA: In all seriousness, what Herbstreit is really saying is that LSU's offense is horrible. Worse than Johnny Football. You know, Johnny Football, that guy who put up huge numbers against LSU's defense and is sure to do the same against Bama. Because we all know that LSU's defense is merely a shadow of the juggernaut that is Bama's defense.

to him. I watched the game. Preseason I thought Oregon would have a hard time beating them twice but now I would be very surprised if Oregon lost at all.

A&M has the 55th rated defense (total defense) and the bottom half of the SEC blows.
