Their hardest game is probably @ Oklahoma towards the end of the season. Them beating Baylor depends on how much confidence is left after Oklahoma.

Yea, it's completely blasphemous that a team that consistently recruits in the top 5 could be picked in the playoffs.

If LSU was consistently finishing in the top 5-10 with those classes the pick would be fine. It is the fact that the last few seasons since 2011 have been disappointing for LSU based on the talent they have brought in. Herbie knows if by some stroke of luck LSU wins the SEC he will look like a genius, but if they don't he can just chalk it up to LSU not playing up to the talent they have on the roster. Herbie is in a no lose situation with the pick.

In 2012 we lost most of our offensive production. In 2013 we lost most of our defense. In 2014 we lost our QB.

Now we have a balanced team with an emerging leader at QB. All signs point to watch the frick out.

If you had a clue you would be dangerous. LSU had a good team in 2012...and I believe finished with 11 wins......literally gave the game to bama...which ultimately likely cost them the NC.

After 2012 and 2013.....LSU lost 17 underclassmen to the draft...not to mention the graduates. That, in a nutshell, is why they have struggled the last two years with a 17-9 record.....2012 wasn't like those two years. This year, LSU only lost a couple of players, and returns 16 starters, including Fournette, Dupree, Godcheaux, Adams, and Harris, who were all TF last year. Stroke of luck? LOL

LSU is currently the 8th overall pick to win the NC....in vegas. I don't think that's a stroke of luck. Good luck, and have a good day.

I haven't read the comments, but so far Herbstreit has picked Arkansas, Auburn and LSU to win the SEC-W this year.

Naw i was going for your typical overweight uneducated redneck from the south.

But i'm talking about the people who legit call one of the better people in college football an idiot because they dont like his preseason prediction picks. As if that really freaking matters.

I'm not talking about people who simply disagree with him.

Outside of last years team this may be the worst LSU team I've seen pre Saban.
