And they were like fifth in the Big 12 in total defense and second to last in pass defense. I don't understand why people think they play this brand of old school football where their defense is good and they control the clock, since their defense is mediocre and they run the air raid. Any other name on the jersey and there wouldn't that perception

Because they don't know anything and simply look at the name on the helmet. OU plays Big 12 ball just like the rest they just aren't as good at it.

I'm wondering where "they have more talent" thing is coming from. Lol

Tennessee

vs Bowling Green*
vs #19 Oklahoma
vs W Carolina
@Florida
vs #18 Arkansas
vs #9 Georgia
@#3 Alabama
@Kentucky
vs South Carolina
vs North Texas
@#24 Missouri
vs Vanderbilt

At least 3 SEC losses there, more likely 4.

Also a loss to OU, likely 8-5 UT team. Anyone who looks at this schedule and thinks they're making it to Atlanta is high.

No, no, no and no.

So much wrong with this post.

I've always thought Herbstreit knew what he was talking about. Nothing could ever sway that opinion.

I'm excited to see if Herbie's playoff pick team can get past Herbie's SEC East champ. LOL

I disagree on all predictions, I tend to think Baylor will beat TCU coming out of a loss to OK st the previous week and Big 12 will get left out again.

but at least your predictions are based in reality and make sense. Tigerinthehollow however, has his head so far up his arse he can still see daylight.

LOL.....Mizzou and TAMU fans on here talking like they don't still play BIG XII ball.

BIG XII ball is the only reason your two teams have done as well as they have in that conference.

Doesn't he pick Ohio State every year since he played QB there?

There's a decent change that 3/4 of his playoff pics, and both of his SECCG finish .500 in their conference.

Those are some bold picks. I think he gets the Ohio State part right.

Not sure what this means, but we are pointing out that your team wasn't very good last year and you've gotten murdered by Baylor the last two years, so for someone to suggest that yall could shut them down based on talent alone shows they don't follow Big 12 football. And I hate Baylor FWIW

It just depends on the ACC. They have to provide a 1-loss champion in order for the Pac 12 or Big XII to get left out. If they do (Clemson), then I still think the Big XII is more likely to get a team in than the Pac 12.

The Pac 12 South is loaded. I doubt anyone wins that division with one loss. And then you have Oregon likely taking a loss at Michigan State. It is going to be hard for the Pac 12 to produce a one-loss conference champ.

Yep. I think they get there even with 1 loss.

LSU

Frick no.

Baker Mayfield is legit...but I still put my chips on TCU. Definitely a bit of darkhorse though.

Arizona State

I like it. Darkhorse in the Pac. Have a lot of pieces. Wouldn't be surprised to see Arizona there either.

No ACC? Florida State should be just as dangerous IMO. Everett Gholson has been there, done that.

Baylor has kicked the sh*t out of us the last two years because haven't had any sort of offense to offer up, hence one of the reasons Heupel got sh*t-canned. Terrible QB play and poor game planning will get your arse beat against Baylor.

Of our QBs from the last two seasons, one is playing TE for the 49ers in the NFL and the other QB is benched with his career likely over.

Probably not.

OU is but a shell of what they once were. No program has been hit harder by the decay of the Big 12 than the Sooners.

Yall will lose to Tennessee. probably a 7-8 win team. Herbie having you in the playoffs is absolutely laughable.
