Strange place that we call the rant. Everyone hates Herbstreit and thinks his opinion is crap; until he says something nice about your school. Then and only then does his opinion matter.

Truer words have never been said.

because he didn't pick bama? LMAO....instead he picked a very talented team that has 16 returning starters...including some of the absolute best skill position and defensive players in the country at their particular position. Herbie obtained information that Brandon H is 180 degrees different from last season.

You can bury your head in the sand, but bama is going to struggle bigtime on offense this year....watch.

They have more NFL talent than probably Baylor and TCU combined. If OU has a legit defense, they will shut down both of those gimmick offenses.

Only way this happens is for UGA to sweep AU/ Bama. And if that happens UT isn't playing for the SECC....

Good luck in the opener, Aggies.

I tried to warn them.

Ohio State
LSU

Arizona State

Ohio State winning it all once again.

I think it's more likely that none of those teams make it, than two of them, and OSU has a very easy road.

They run that same "gimmick offense" FWIW. Do your research instead of just looking at names

No. He's not a dumbass, but those of you who pick and choose when to place value on what he says are. LSU fans hate on him for this

but love the guy b/c he said something nice about your school today.

ok. I'm sure he'll be considerably improved. Most players do see growth between tFR and SO seasons.

we all will watch. it's what we do when college football is on. Define "struggle big time". Does this mean we won't break 20 points against a rival for 4 consecutive games? That is big time struggle. Does it mean Bama will lose 5 games? That's big time struggle not seen since 2007 at Bama.

Whatever "big time" struggle means, Bama has the D to help get through those offensive woes early on. And if you think Bama won't get it going on O at some point with a very talented line, good, proven RBs, and skill players among the most talent and highly recruited in the country then you're not very football savvy.

LOL!!! Perine is going to lose a lot of carries this year to all that talent we don't have.

And they were like fifth in the Big 12 in total defense and second to last in pass defense. I don't understand why people think they play this brand of old school football where their defense is good and they control the clock, since their defense is mediocre and they run the air raid. Any other name on the jersey and there wouldn't that perception

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised an LSU fan would make such a bold claim so obviously based on program names and nothing else.

Baylor averaging 42/game over last 4 years vs OU. What exactly does "shut down" mean? under 30?

I do think the Big XII will get a team in the playoff this year. I would think either TCU or Baylor. Gotta give the nod to TCU, because they get that game at home, they were the better team last year (IMO), and will be the better team this year.

I don't think Oklahoma is going to beat Baylor, or even shut them down. I think Tennessee could beat OU.
