I like his picks. He smartly picks LSU because he know what's up.
He picks ASU because he knows UCLA/USC/Stanfod/Oregon don't have it. (although that asu-au game might screw the pick).
He picks Ohio State because it's easy.
And he goes Oklahoma because he knows old school beats disco and their qb will be awesome.

How does Oklahoma win the Big 12 over TCU or Baylor. I don't see that happening. The rest of the picks are very likely though. Really anyone in the SEC West or Georgia could win the conference and make the playoffs.

Strange place that we call the rant. Everyone hates Herbstreit and thinks his opinion is crap; until he says something nice about your school. Then and only then does his opinion matter.

OU is easily the biggest reach in those. ASU plays in a wide open PAC 12 south and has talent. LSU has a tough road but again has talent and could be really damn good if they get an answer at QB. I just don't think that OU is very talented at a lot of spots on the field, especially at QB. Perine can only carry them so far

Considering Herby picked Arkansas to win the SEC West a few weeks ago I'm a bit surprised he has LSU in the SEC championship.
Nah, for once I'm not taking a shot at LSU. Its just that ever team but Vanderbilt has been picked to win the SEC this season no matter what their schedule is or what personnel problems they are looking at this year.
If LSU gets decent QB play they could certainly make it. If the Vols get some breaks that go their way then they could too. You could say the same thing about all of our teams. There are so many unknowns about this season right now for the SEC it would be refreshing to see a sports pundit throw up his hands and declare "Fricked if I know! Someone will win it."
