Not fully informed (and actually misinformed), but your opinion about the matter is clear. Got it.

I agree to an extent and some coaches won't get involved with opinions and matters of the game but he is seen as someone with massive amount of respect and power in the coaching community (whether it is reciprocated here and with fans or not). His coaching clinics are still one of the most attended, and he holds a certain level of respect so I'm assuming that is why he got involved.
Do I personally like the rule? Even as a Bama fan....No
I think it will extend an already drawn out sporting event (thanks to media etc) even longer and sometimes an offensive team is in a groove or flow and that can be hindered by a 10 second or however long stop.

I'm taking this philosophy to my bosses. The harder and faster I work, the more wear and tear my body is taking. I will need to retire sooner if they keep asking me to work this hard.

Saban has lost 9 games in six years, 6 of those were to HUNH teams. All 6 of those teams finished the year in the top 10. What that says is that teams like OM, Ariz, Wash ST, Clemson, etc need to STFU because it does not matter what they run. The last 4 losses to HUNH teams, bama had the ball in final minute with a chance to win/tie the game.

I'm really embarrassed to have a coach like Saban(yeh buddy!). Three NC in the last five years - I'm still embarrassed. A coach that sticks up for what he believes(not like Les)- I'm still embarrassed.
The schools who heavily critize Saban on this board(LSU and Auburn) are the most eat-out about Saban being at Bama. LSU because he left for the NFL and came back to Bama. What you don't understand, he's gone and he's not coming back. Settled for less(Les)-get over it.
Auburn football's worst day in the last 10 years, is when Bama hired Saban. It means that they'd still be delegated to being "little brother". Their only relief now is hoping for retirement of Saban or the Bama program being on probation.
The green-eyed monster has bit them. You're on this board to critize, you mask your alterior motives. That is to say, he's the best in the nation and I wish we had him. You don't-so live with it!

You probably have a good point if you are working in a physically exhausting profession.

Well, I'd love to hear Saban's rationale as to his own personal tobacco usage (Redman) since he decided to inject tobacco into the debate.

quote:So, in your opinion, do you believe Saban's dislike of the HUNH is related to player safety or to his personal football philosophy about "blocking and tackling" and "not being a continuous sport like soccer" and about a "sense of fairness" and the "real advantage" it creates for the offense?
Not fully informed (and actually misinformed), but your opinion about the matter is clear. Got it.

Well, (in this thread) that Saban first complained about the HUNH after he lost to Texas A&M in 2012 and that he didn't saying anything about player safety at that time. Both of those are misinformed statements.

No Alabama fan actually agrees with this shite, right? I'm assuming they just enjoy seeing everyone pissed off, which is understandable. I know none of y'all agree with it though
