Saban needs to reevaluate himself and his front 7. You beat these HUNH teams with an athletic front 7. Bama struggles with these teams because their DE's are way too damn big and unathletic, and their LB's don't run that well sideline to sideline. DT's are too big to get pressure on the QB by pushing the pocket. They are predominantly guys that can hold double teams.

Saban wants the game to adjust to him. Well, tough shite dude, adjust what YOU are doing and who YOU are recruiting.

Just my .02.

Oh look at you. Precious. Toeing the party line. Aww sweet.

When the debate spirals out of your camp's control, resort to calling out people for caring about it and following up on the topic

The good thing is that embarrassment truly only sits on one side of this debate, and with you guys calling everyone else crybabies it's obvious which side that is

When he first started discussing it, he never mentioned player safety at all. He was concerned with whether or not we wanted football to be more like soccer or not.

You said he first started discussing after the 2012 loss to Texas A&M and he didn't talk about player safety at that point.

That's just flat out wrong on both counts, sorry.

That's the problem with this discussion is that people are being dishonest about things are simply uninformed and just repeat the talking points they have heard from other people. And yes both side are doing it. It won't change, but I just wanted to say it anyway.

This is just beyond awesome now. He really will never get over what happened 11/30/13.

Someone needs to take the shovel from this guys hands immediately. He just can't stop digging.

I may not be fully informed on all of Saban's statements about the HUNH, but it is clear to me that his opinion is tied to his football philosophy and has little to do with actual player safety concerns.

I have been careful to avoid talking points and only post my original thoughts. The fact that other reasonable people come to similar conclusions doesn't make it a talking point.

"The fastball guys (up-tempo coaches) say there's no data out there, and I guess you have to use some logic," Saban told ESPN. "What's the logic? If you smoke one cigarette, do you have the same chances of getting cancer if you smoke 20? I guess there's no study that specifically says that. But logically, we would say, 'Yeah, there probably is.'"

Saban actually said this??

He's a fricking stupid as Bert and his death certificates.
