Time for Saban to pull a Bryant and change it all up for another decade run. Give me Morris.

disaster in progress if this happens. Kiffin is used to being his own man and an eccentric one at that. Now he has to possibly work for the biggest control freak in CFB? (not that this is a bad thing). I dont see that working.

A) Absolutely hire him.

B) His wife is hot.

C) I heard Finebaum tell Cowherd that he doesn't think Saban is coaching at Alabama in 5 years. So could this be a set up for the future HC of the Crimson Tide, Lane Kiffin?

D) Absolutely hire him.

Is there any proof other than message board rumors that Kiffin had anything to do with our gameplan for OU?

Would be a good hire, IMO. I don't see it happening. He goes against everything saban is about, as far as O, unless saban is wanting a drastic change in his O philosophy.

By all accounts Kiffin has a good offensive mind. The only problem I see is Kiffin tends to leave a lot of damage in his wake, but this is as an HC, not assistant. So, barring that, a good hire.

He's not a good coach, regardless of his personality. frick this gay earth.

This.

I don't know why the reputation still persists that he is a great OC.

He is not.

He cut his chops being the OC of one of the GOAT offenses of all-time.

He was handed the keys to a Ferrari and was toying with a Ferrari.

I could have "coached" USC on O in 2004-2005.

He's all fluff and hype. Carroll had a lot of say too in what Sark and Kiffin did.

Kiffin sucked as USC's O coordinator the last two years.

Just look at the difference when he left in USC's O.

Kiffin road coattails. Nothing more.

USC offense was a trainwreck for the first 4 or so games. They fired him and they instantly got leaps and bounds better for the rest of the year.

That's pretty damning.

I don't think it'd be a bad choice. Saban would muzzle him, so he wouldn't be in the public mouthing off, I don't think.

The Internet will physically break if Nick Saban hires Lane Kiffin. Like you'll go to Google and lava pours out of your screen.

It'd be a fine choice. Kiffin's failing as a coach isn't with X's and O's. He's a very good offensive coach, as evidenced by his work at USC and his transforming Jon Crompton into a serviceable SEC QB in '09.

And his offensive philosophy is in line with Saban's. He's pro-style, but if he can run it, he wants to run it.
