O to DC is what would make this move glorious. 2016 is indeed Les Miles' last year. Please keep your OC though.

So you also haven't looked into anything regarding his contract, is what you're saying. You get an F for this troll job.

OC isn't the problem. Cam is good when players execute and Les let's him loose.
And rebel fans are so butthurt over Coach O

Perhaps LSU can't afford his buyout. So they will take the perception hit and let him leave on his own.

I just don't understand the whole 'we don't fire, we tell them to look around thing.' That might be Les' way of doing things, but perception wise, it doesn't make LSU look great.
You ever wonder how a goofball like Les can get so many quality players to LOVE playing for him? Maybe it's because he's a good man with integrity.

Firing Steele and then him getting hired by Auburn is one thing. No harm, no foul for LSU. He couldn't make it. But not firing him and then him leaving to go to Auburn makes it seem like LSU couldn't keep him, despite what the reason he left was. That's all.
For the people that matter, this shite doesn't matter.

For some perspective....
LSU's defense is currently ranked 10th in nation...
... and that's pretty impressive considering their offense is ranked 50th.
I'd not say Kevin Steele is the second coming of Mike Ditka or anything. But coaching a defense to a top ten finish is not exactly sucking either.

Les doesn't fire. He tells them to look around.

Les has never fired anyone. He has just told them to find another job. This is not an "auburn stole our DC" situation.

I know you're still new to the SEC, but Les never fires assistants. He tells them to find new jobs and let's them "leave on their own."

Les probably told Steele to look for another job instead of firing him.
I'm not sure you guys really understand this whole "firing" concept. If the big boss man tells someone "You need to look around for another job"... they're getting fired.
Just sayin'.

Terrible vs good competition in November.

Auburn: Chris Low of ESPN is reporting that “barring a late snag” LSU defensive coordinator Kevin Steele is heading to Auburn to be Gus Malzahn’s defensive coordinator. Sources tell FootballScoop that Auburn’s offer is real; but that LSU is trying to retain him this morning. We also hear that Steele is close to vesting in Alabama’s pension plan….so. Will update… LINK
Les told him to look else where, but they are trying to get him to stay? OK LSU fans. OK

You're using total yards for a team that has played one less game than almost everyone in the country. If that's how you want to look at it, more power to you.

Lsu is 27th in total defense... LINK
