The rumors are posted in the OP ya mouth breather.
And yes, I'd assume that's the narrative since this is first time in LSU history that the defense gave up 20+ points in 10 straight games. Fans didn't like the hire from he beginning and have been calling for O to replace him all year.
If this comes to fruition and O is our DC, then you know why O didn't take the USC job.
It's inherently different than the Chavis situation on so many levels.

This shite has just gotten silly with all the fricking coach changes. Some of the craziest stuff I have ever seen. Or maybe I just had not been paying enough attention in the past.

You're talking to Auburn and Texas A&M fans, nuance isn't really their thing.

If true, why does LSU keep losing coordinators in lateral moves to direct rivals?
Because LSU's rivals are so desperate to beat LSU that they will take unmotivated or poor coaches from their staff to try and replicate their success.

So that's what it is going to be? If he leaves, the narrative will be that he was going to get fired anyway? Is there any rumors that
Don't think anyone is trying to create a false narrative. This just looks really familiar to people who have paid attention to staff changes at LSU under Miles. Guy has a bad season, Miles says nothing about it publicly, then all of a sudden he's wishing him well in his new job. I don't think Miles has ever let a guy go before that guy found another gig.

Steele is certainly questionable, but to be fair LSU had problems staying on the field on offense this year. Especially the last half of the season.

If it is true that Auburn is having to hire Steele, they should be on the phone with Chip Kelly's agent finding out if there is interest and how much it will cost them. Gus won't make it through the season next year, so Auburn might as well pull the trigger now if they can get Kelly.

He's not good and LSU talent couldn't even hide it like we'd hoped. I will be ecstatic if he leaves and even more ecstatic if he goes to auburn.

I know you're still new to the SEC, but Les never fires assistants. He tells them to find new jobs and let's them "leave on their own." He did it with Peveto/Mallory, Crowton, Studrawa, etc.

I was willing to give Steele another year. The defense played great at times, but we were susceptible to the big plays this year.
We also gave up 20+ points 10 games in a row, which has never happened at LSU before.

denial is the first step. You'll get through them all, don't worry. Enjoy busting coverages all year! You can blame it on your offense.

I'll admit I don't follow LSU too closely. So thanks for informing me.

This man gets it. Gus expedited his way out with this hire, now we just need Chip Kelly to sit out a year and come to the plains in 2017. WDE CHIP!

I don't know who to laugh at more, LSU or AU.
Les probably told Steele to look for another job instead of firing him. He's done this in the past so laugh at Auburn I guess. This was also part of the deal to keep Coach O in Baton Rouge. Expect him to be promoted to DC.
Hopefully Peveto is the next of the silent firings Less is fond of.
