Nah, Kentucky doesn't shite talk for the first few weeks of football season and scurry away when they get exposed.

Oh yes, almost forgot this story, USM's first win over Ole Miss came in 1970 against the Archie Manning led number 1 ranked Rebs, 30-14. USM has never let the Rebs live it down.

Ole Miss was ranked 4th, and many Ole Miss fans consider that game to be the downfall of our program from the dominance of vaught to the decades of ineptitude since.

You are right. They were 4th, and I have heard that same argument about it being the beginning of the downfall of Ole Miss as a major power.

Because UAB dropped football and UK needed a replacement game on short notice, on a specific date.

I'm kind of surprised y'all went with USM over Tulane though. I guess Kentucky recruits Mississippi harder than LA?

Wow that's a crazy story.
Kind of inspirational though.
A guy who only Delta State truly wanted ended up being one of the greatest QB's of all time. I grew up playing on the Delta State practice fields so it definitely resonates with me. Thanks for sharing that about Favre

Shows how inexact a science recruiting is.
