No, he was only a freshman at the time. We made fun of him,

No, I wasn't. If you hadn't cut my statement off short, you would see that.

The LSU fans that are talking smack sure don't seem to remember the 90s: Hullman and Dinardo!

I remember Dinardo, he took LSU to bowl wins in three consecutive years for the first time in LSU history. He also led LSU to their first win versus a #1 ranked football team. He also led LSU to share two SEC West titles, had the Iron Bowl results been reversed those two years, LSU would've been in the SECCG both years. Dinardo landed Kevin Faulk who proceeded to break Herschel Walker's SEC All-Purpose Yardage record. I bet if the A&M/LSU series had continued, he probably would've led his 10-2 1996 team to a win over a 6-6 A&M team in Tiger Stadium. After all, that Aggie team lost at USL.

Apparently when LSU is down, they're still not that bad. They never lost to the school in Lafayette, no matter what they called themselves.

"Pussed out"? Yea - A&M pussed out - too scarred to face such juggernauts as Kansas, Iowa state, TCU and west Virginia. Hell of a lot easier against Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.

And in response to the post about the A&M/LSU series in the 90's - Hell yes Im crazy bout Curly!

With all due respect, if the teams were so shitty then how come A&M didn't win a conference title in the 2000's? A&M and their fanbase is incredibly arrogant considering the team has not won a conference title since 1998. I completely understand the momentum you guys are gaining but there are no accomplishments in recent history to hang your hat on.

The '00s were actually the only decade in A&M history that we did not win a Conference Title going back to the beginning of the previous century.

Also, comparing the Big 12 of today to the one of the '00s is a joke. For instance, the Big 12 sent 3 different teams to the BCS Title game 7 times in 10 years in the '00s (more than the SEC), though the SEC won more of course. The Big 12 had a solid argument to be at worst the 2nd Best Conference. It has declined steadily since '10 however when Nebraska decided to leave.

Living in Austin though it is fun to hear daily as the sips slowly realize the trap they are in. Right now they are in the honeymoon of Charlie Strong's hire and convincing themselves that he is going to be able to win without a QB and because he had good defenses at UF that suddenly that will just solve all the problems at Texas in spite of the lack of talent. They are expecting 3 Star True Fish and Walk Ons to come in and start or contribute in a big way.

It's astounding how far they have fallen really, A&M is dominating them and they are losing recruits to Baylor, OU, and Tech with regularity. Many top Texas kids aren't even giving them a sniff. All their hopes are on a 10 win season when 6-6 or 7-5 is much more realistic. It may get a lot worse before it gets better for them.

Texas still has a higher blue chip % than we do. Granted they're all mack recruits who were texas bumped, but the fact remains. I don't think they're as good, and after the '15 class enrolls and this years attrition takes place we will have the higher blue chip %.

I say this so when the texas fans you know say strong had nothing to work with when they lose 8-9 games this year, you can call out their bs.
