Meh. Texans are descended from folks from the Deep South, among others. In part, Texas owes its independence to the South.

ATM in the SEC is more of a threat to tejas than they believe. If ATM does everything right, they will be the premier brand in the state a decade from now, and there will be nothing the horns will be able to do to regain their former position.

They are scared because we aren't "aggy" any more. Our businessmen outsmarted their businessmen and our coaching staff kicked their beloved Mack to the curb and stole the talent in state and cherry picked nationally.
Without wars, unlimited scholarships and university mandatory rules of A&M that are no longer in effect, they can't win at that clip rate.

The nicest facilities for football going up just an hour and half east of them. Tons of exposure for us from the national outlets now that we don't have to rely on all the Texas grads for the news coverage and a relevant, entertaining, conference schedule that will be nationally televised.
As much as y'all mock us for being obsessed with them, you ain't seen anything as nutty as the shite coming out of Austin since our move. It's been a great couple of years. If they do wind up with their version of Fran, well... holy hell it's going to get messy.
