You got your wins because your coach allows your team to vote players back. See how stupid that is?

Texas A&M had a really good defense last year. The La Texh game was a fluke.

Eh, not really. They gave up 21 to Auburn that year, and 28 to Sam Houston State. Those were probably the two worst teams on their schedule.

Arkansas was so much worse.

No, we beat Auburn in Jordan Hare that year. Game wasn't even close.

Yeah, people tend to forget you won two SEC games with John L as opposed to zero with Bert

Sumlin's zero career conference titles is a good stat.

John L. beat the worst Auburn team ever and got to play Kentucky. Bielema didn't have that luxury.

Pretty sure the two worst teams on the 2012 schedule were SMU (gave up 3) and Arkansas (gave up 10)

#35 Rushing Defense
#86 Passing Defense
#57 Total Defense
#26 Scoring Defense
#39 Pass Efficiency Defense
#63 First Down Defense
#16 3rd Down Conversion Defense
#47 4th Down Conversion Defense
T56 Passes Intercepted
#116 Fumbles Recovered
#35 Red Zone defense
T100 Turnovers Forced
#61 Tackles for Loss
#36 Sacks

Top half of the country in 11/14 categories

The problem with the 2012 defense was lack of depth.

A&M was up 49-7 after the first drive of the 2nd half against Auburn. 2nd/3rd team defense comes in and both teams score 14.

A&M was up 47-0 in the 3rd when the 2nd/3rd team defense came in. SHSU outscored A&M 28-0 at that point.

Why do I bring this up? The 2nd/3rd stringers in 2012 were many of the STARTERS in 2013 and it clearly showed.

Wrong, Auburn was worse than Arkansas that year. You could have looked that up while you were compiling all those stats.

And this is laughable:

Other aggy posters are in this thread saying "people don't remember how good our 2012 defense was." Hard to believe considering they were top 60 in so many categories. How can people not remember that?

2013 Aggie marginally better than 2006 Kentucky?

Even with all that talent and a Heisman winner at QB?

Yikes, Ags.
