If you think Chavis didn't file suit to try to be in a better jurisdiction for him then you're an idiot.

You obviously haven't read through the thread to see who all's mad.

I like this one:
quote:

I can't wait until closes its doors for good. Impoverished fricks

He was so mad he forgot to say which doors he wanted to closed.

None, obviously. What you fail to remember is that Chavis is the one who brought suit. Meaning he got to choose where it would be filed he chose Texas, and as another Ag poster said earlier, Texas has a more favorable law for these situations. This is the main reason Chavis filed suit in Texas. Plus, even with the Judge being an LSU grad he still has to work within precedent. He can't just do what he pleases.

Oh yes. That's it. We're "mad" that we lost a DC who gave up TDs before the end of each half or end of the game in all our big games.
Penn State'09 Arkansas'10 Auburn'10 Alabama'12
Clemson'12 Ole Miss'13 Alabama'14 Notre Dame'14

Looks like Chavis and his lawyers are the only ones that are "mad." And they're about to get even madder

I don't believe "madder" is a word but you earned an upvote anyways

And if you don't think that LSU petitioned for a change of venue without the thought of getting a favorable judge that graduated from LSU Law (the state of justice is dominated by them) then you are being quite naïve.

Chavis and Texas A&M get a much favorable venue in Texas simply because they have a better chance of getting a bench that is neutral.

Literally everyone in Texas besides an Aggy can't stand an Aggy. Your original big brother would probably oversee the case and shite on you more than the LA judge will.

Never claimed it wasn't a factor in picking a venue just my personal opinion that the choice of law was a more important factor than the Judge itself in this case. The fight alone shows it is important to both sides.

You just called someone an idiot for pointing out that Chavis had a good reason beyond the Judge for choosing Texas and I think he was right.

Stupid question, but this is probably the right place to ask it..

At what point do all coaches sign the document that the NCAA used to hammer Tressel with at Ohio State? You know, that annoying little piece of paper that states that they did not knowingly do anything against the NCAA rules nor witness any violation in the last year that they did not report?

I ask this because as soon as that is signed and turned over to the NCAA, then there is no real recourse for A&M to do but settle. If LSU pushes the issue and shows that Chavis was still an employee it moves from a small secondary violation to a much bigger issue.

Ohio State actually runs their state. The NCAA just feels bad for A&M so I doubt there will be any repercussions.

There's a small yet definitive difference between an Aggie and an Aggy.
