Watching him after that first play vs RR21 when he went Kardashian, and then against Duke when he did the same thing? Would have entered that guy into some counseling/decision-making/anger management/breathing technique classes or some shite if I were the NFL team that drafted him.

Immense talent, but you're talking about a draft eligible superstar playing for draft position who goes Kim K after a clean play on the road against an 18 year old CB on the first possession. Came off as severely mentally weak

am i suppose to know what "going kardashian" means? I have a feeling once it's explained to me I'll be kinda wish i was still in the dark.

South Carolina has a very fast athletic defensive line similar to a LSU type line.

Had. Pretty sure they lost 3 of 4, including Clowney and Quarels.

Turns out Johnny Manziel isn't all that good when you force him to stay in the pocket and beat a quality cornerback with his arm.

There were several games that Johnny was forced to stay in the pocket, but none of the defenses that did that had the success that LSU did. LSU talent from front to back and a good game plan beat Johnny. Manziel consistently refused to check down against LSU and wanted the big gain every time. He'd been doing it all season, and Chavis correctly focused on medium/deep routes and virtually ignored the flats. Manziel/A&M didn't adjust and take what the LSU defense gave, they tried to force it, and as a result LSU made it look easy.

You'll notice that I listed two conditions, not just one. And the second one is .....

I would have questions about Mike Evans' projected athleticism down the road. I realize that he has a great combination of size and speed at this moment, age 21 or 22.

But big guys tend to get bigger. Take Big Mike Williams as an example. Very similar players. BMW blimped up to 270 at one point, and he went from first round pick to journeyman to the Canadian League -- largely because of his inability to keep his weight down.

While the Rebels had the Tigers' number last year and some have put up meaningless yardage in LSU wins, the track record is secure

So surrendering 1046 yards against A&M harms Alabama's rep but Chavis giving up 1000 to us is meaningless

Hahahaha

I like how the OP asks for reasons and when reasons are given it is "excuses

So called "hand injury" and "light drizzle weather conditions" are excuses not reasons.

This is reasoning.

To be fair, LSU's offense isn't nearly as affected by the elements.

Manziel just tried to throw it deep every play after they went down early last year and it was completely unsuccessful. They didn't really even seem to run a real offense in the 2nd half. They also stopped running the ball in the 2nd half in 2012. I'm actually more worried that A&M will be more effective against LSU without Manziel.

LSU made A&M completely one dimensional last year.

combined with sumlin giving up on running the ball... (6 carries from RB's? wtf?)

If Manziel had been playing against the A&M defense in that weather he would have put up 80 points.

How many elite corners did he face? He lost to EJ Gaines, too.

I mean, his performance against Vanderbilt's Andre Hal was probably his best against a good cover guy.

Now factor in the fact that LSU had two good cover guys ... and you start to see why Manziel had problems.

We ran the ball 55 times. It's harder to throw in the rain. Not sure what's hard to understand. We were very balanced last year, but the run game is our bread and butter.

Oh sweet are be back on the Manziel isn't very good schtick? Phew now I'm less worried that A&M's offense will take a step back next year.

Wait, the topic changed to NEXT year's team? Manziel was the best QB EVER A&M gone get raped every game!!!

In certain conditions, no he was not very good. Under "normal" conditions, he was extremely good.
