No one here is calling him a terrible coach. But several dawgs are calling him a great coach & his overall SEC record speaks for itself. A great coach does it year after year after year & when he does have a down yr, it's very seldom all the way down to the bottom of the barrel. He had an outstanding job this yr, especially winning so many SEC series on the road. But put the brakes on for now as to whether he's a great coach or not.

i listed 8 of them. the other is a freshman. 7 of those 8 i listed are juniors or redshirt sophomores. those are not underclassmen. the other is a sophomore that started last year and was a freshman all-sec player. you're not young a young team bud

LSU fans are pussies because they call Cohen an average coach? He is. In all his years coaching in this league, he's won a series against LSU one time. I don't really know what your angle is supposed to be here. Congrats on finally beating LSU?

You left out a few. Jake Mangum Freshmen. Elih Marrero Freshmen. Ryan Gridley Soph. Brent Rooker Soph. Jacob Billingsley Freshmen. Konner Pilkington Freshman. Ryan Cyr freshman. Ryan Rigby soph. And we had injuries just like you to keep 3 upcoming stars from playing.

All of those pitchers came into their own later part of the season. Get your facts straight. Those guys made huge contributions last 4 series.

It has nothing to do with LSU. You should really go watch some tv or something man. Give it a rest. There's always next year. always next year? what does that even mean? pretty sure the ncaa tournament hasn't started yet. and again, no one said your coach was terrible. we'vbe said he's average. he is. in a rebuilding year, he went 8-22 in the SEC, in his 7th year in the program. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for LSU and they went 19-11. See the difference? LSU owns State in both sports, dwi

We had only 2 pitchers coming into the season. Didn't even have a decent bullpen or a sunday starter until late in the season. Yes, we finally found a bullpen and a sunday starter the final 4 weeks. End of discussion.

This thread reinforces the opinion that MSU fans have no clue how to handle success. If they get even the slightest taste of it they go full fricking retard.
Cohen is a good coach. Winning the SEC this year is no small feat, but he's only brought one team to the CWS. Saying he's mediocre may be a bit of a stretch, but he's closer to mediocre than elite.

Rooker is a redshirt sophomore. that is not an underclassman
Marrero has started in about half of your games
Gridley was an all-conference players and a 2 year starter. That is an experienced college player. I don't know why you two are getting offended in someone saying you're an experienced team comparatively speaking. you are

you know how many teams in college baseball have a solid sunday starter? not many. LSU has started 4 different guys as the #3 starter this year and have had one reliable arm out of the bullpen all year. You're not special
