Dinardo started the train rolling...Saban just hopped on. Saban should be sending Christmas cards to Lou Tepper every year.

Thomas Dunson should also get one. I know Tepper said it would take years to learn his defense, but I don't think Dunson was the one to try and learn it considereing he could barely form a sentence in Kinesiology class.

Whether what happened in the 70's and 80's is relevant in 2016 or not, LSU is a better job than Georgia.

Saban owes no one nothing. He is the GOAT.

LSU fans thinking that their program can never fall on hard times again because of some sort of built in advantages to their program sound a lot like Longhorn fans circa 2010. College football is about cycles.

There is only one "outlier" in the L5U history when you compare there win history vs one of the "Blue Bloods" that they face every year. During the Saban years at L5U they beet Alabama at a roughly 80% clip. The entire remainder of their history from 1895 til 2015 they have won at a clip of roughly 25%.

25% win rate vs the Blue Blood IS their NORM. That rate does not equate to a top program.

What the frick are you even talking about? Is this some borderline illiterate way to try and say because LSU has a losing record against Bama it's not an elite program?

Alabama REALLY sucked when Saban was at LSU.

You listed three top ten finishes, unfortunately 1970 is part of the 60's. Thanks for pointing out that Klatt was almost correct

INDEED! but I guess that puts a damper on the only outlier since by your words it happened while Alabama sucked.

Why are you trying to tie LSU's status as a program into it's win/loss record with Bama?

For one, your stats are wrong. And secondly, I love when people start an argument with "well if you take out all these wins, their winning percentage is lower." Hot fricking take bud. Very compelling stuff

I judge best by how they do against best. You can't be considered a top program if you are only 25% successful against a top program.
