Are people really going with the Rafael Palmerio/Roger Clemens/Andy Pettite excuse? "He didn't know it was steroids or illegal"?

HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY KNOW THAT UF knew about the result of the test?

How do you know?

So now we've established that Grier fricked you Mother and your defense, you're a liar, and you're a hypocrite.

I have been watching you fighting tooth and nail in an effort to expose V&S as full of shite. Are you a Florida PR intern or something?

When something like this happens to your school you takes your licks. For what it is worth I don't think Florida is hurt that much by this.

The appropriate response in this situation is:

"Yeah he was roiding out. The whole team is. What are you going to do about it? Already beat you for the 11th straight time and will do it again next year with a bunch of Jose Canseco lookin mofos."

I'm not mad that Grier got suspended. He got caught cheating. I think the punishment for it is ridiculous. Especially if it's something readily available over the counter.

The suspension for this is an entire year, but the suspension for doing illegal drugs is only one game? That seems twisted to me. His suspension should run through this season and he should be allowed to play at the start of next year.

No he didn't. Link an official statement saying Ligandro if you are stating this as fact.

A kid should not be suspended from taking something that can be purchased from GNC. If the public can get it legally then it should be ok for the players.

Actually agree with this...kind of a ridiculous rule...but America loves to play the puritanical.

The blanket punishment is ridiculous. If in fact its not a steroid substance no way this kid should lose his chance to play at FL.

We don't know what "it" is because Grier won't tell any body what "it" is. The longer this charade continues, speculation will continue to presume that he was swilling PED's.

The NCAA rule is not arbitrary...you're caught, you're out.

UF and the NCAA know. That is really all that matters. If he is being advised to be quiet during the appeal he should follow that advice.

Grier took Ligandro which was in an over-the-counter supplement.

Ligandrol isn't over the counter. It's listed as "not for human consumption."

The other item he was alleged to have taken says on the labeling not to take it if you're tested for doping.

He knew what was up. He thought he wouldn't get caught.
