That was his third year (2011 - after Cam) when he left Auburn to take a paycut because Gene Chizik was cuffing the offense.

Again, I'll keep replying but try to put a little more effort into your posts. You're usually a better poster

Muschamp will have that d-line going berserk.

You know that article in no way supports your previous statement, right?

He should check for the red dots. Too much more of this type of discourse and Phan will have to be sent in to clean up

I am going to enjoy watching it. I saw JJ play two weeks in a row his senior year of HS. (on the tube) He is the most excited I have been about a recruit in a long long long time. Kid showed me everything you could possibly want in a QB. What little he has done in college has only bolstered my fapness.

Seems to be a very good kid too. I remember watching a segment about he and his family on signing day and they were top-notch. He reminds me of Jason Campbell in his style of play and his character.

Watching Nick Marshall last year and seeing how many times his athletisism saved us, makes me wonder how JJ is going to do when he is put under some series pressure.
That was Marshall's edge. Kid made some amazing plays under pressure.

I think JJ is a stud. I am interested to see what your WR/RB look like when people aren't as worried about zone read

Every Auburn fan, in the back of their mind, knows it will happen. It will most likely be Jonathon Wallace running it like Bray/Burns/Reed did.

Yeah, Nick is an athletic freak. He is more athletic than Cam, IMO. Nick isn't the QB Cam is though. I think JJ will be able to keep D's much more honest. I really think Gus will be able to open more of his playbook than he could with Nick also.

That's when a team with good press corners will make your life hell though.
One of the biggest weaknesses of press coverage is v. the run. It's especially vulnerable to a running QB. That seems like a seriously bad idea v. a Malzhan offense.

Ben Tate had 1362 yards and 10 TDs in 2009 and true freshman 150 pound at best Onterrio McCaleb added 565 yards and 4 TDs
Chris Todd wasn't even a threat to run to the LOS that year, he had -116 yards rushing.
ETA:
And I'll take Roc Thomas, Jovon Robinson, and Peyton Barber over Tate and McCaleb all day every day

You are either a horrible troll or you don't watch football? If you had watched AU football that year you would have seen how effective our offense was. THere was only two games that season that AU didn't have a shot to win in the 4th. As per the norm under CHiz, the offense was not the problem.

Auburn could be below average in time of position this year . We will find out soon enough.

I know teams will have problems withJJ. He has all the tools to be an AA, but what is AU s fall back if he blows out a knee or some such?
