Do you think Gus's Offense can be just as efficient/consistent with a pocket passer as it is with a guy who is a constant run threat?

I saw Johnson play a few games in HS here in Montgomery and he rarely ran the ball...and the few snaps he has had at Auburn I haven't seen much read option where he kept the ball.

Considering that Gus had a 5000 yard passer at Tulsa, the answer is yes.

His offense at Tulsa didn't need one but that's obviously not the SEC

It has been before (Tulsa) and it will be effective with JJ

I think Jeremy is going to be really fricking good in Gus' offense.

And I hate admitting that.

Yes. Jeremy Johnson is a big time talent, so he would be successful in a variety of offenses. Gus Malzahn is a good coach and will adapt his system to his player's strengths.

As AU fans will likely tell you, if Malzahn can be productive with Chris Todd then he can be productive with anyone.

Jeremy Johnson had 100 carries for 700+ yards as a senior in HS

How often more did you want him to run?

I haven't seen anything that doesn't indicate how good he can be. He is all potential.

I remember he threw 6 TDs and 5 ints against sec competition in 2009. Not exactly great stats.

Do people just not pay attention to college football? He's proven that he can adapt and have a very good offense with many different athletes with different styles.

You have to learn that it doesn't matter these days. People are not even educated trollers. That is a big difference in the past 4-5 years.

Now you can just throw shite out there with no info at all

FWIW - They didn't really call running plays for JJ in HS until his senior year after he committed to Auburn to play football. Until then, he was being "saved" so to speak for basketball season. There was a while when it wasn't certain that he would choose football over basketball

Not sure what this has to do with Malzahn

Yeah, would have been a better season than Arkansas has produced in over 3 years.

Can anyone drop some game film on Jeremy Johnson? I'd like to see what he looks like.
