Actually, it was Dave Neal on the SEC tourney last weekend, and no he's not competent. He said "Mason Katz could end it with a shot right here" in a 4-4 game in the TOP of the 10th.

Dave Neal's dad was Bob Neal, who used to do SEC games on TBS in the '80s, and I think that's the only reason Dave Neal gets work. He's not good at all.

Around the office, all us over 35 or so still call it the JP game.

As others have said, it was the bomb back in the days when all the SEC games weren't televised.

It was. You can throw in Ole Miss, KY and Miss State. Seems like those four were in constant rotation back in the early 80's.

People are shitting on it - rightfully so. Post high def it has sucked donkey balls. But back in the late 70's and throughout the 80's it was more than welcomed. I am telling you young fellas that it added an additional game long before ESPN was carrying live SEC games - much less Game Day. We would play pee wee football and get home in time for "The JP Game of the Week"
