“The funny part about this is it’s fair to ask of Ben Simmons, why doesn’t he win more? Why wasn’t he able to take his team to the NCAA Tournament? I don’t put all the blame on him, all the responsibility on him,” Bilas said, pointing out that Simmons is averaging over 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists, which are unprecedented numbers.

“I think some of what this is doing, if you want to call it the Ben Simmons bashing a little bit, some of what this is doing is really signaling to the next Ben Simmons-type talent, you know, go to Kentucky. Because then you don’t have to listen to people questioning your character and whether you’re a winner. They’re just going to talk about your talent and how good you are because winning isn’t going to be the issue.”

It screams to me, "Don't go play for Johnny Jones. He doesn't know how to get his best players involved."

Why are Kentucky fans so obsessed with Simmons?

Change it to Malik Newman then. It reads the same.

All your 5* are belong to us.

Not so hard a concept. That's what we want.

Cal has one title to his name with a plethora of NBA talent year in and year out.

That's pretty sad.

Butthurt? On the contrary. Cal's recruiting just got that much easier thanks to Howland and Jones ineptitude and lack of player development.

If needing triple OT to beat someone is a whipping, then I'm living in bizarro world.

Why can't people cite a prominent college basketball analyst discussing the potential #1 draft pick?

Calipari has his fair share of busts, he just grabs so many he obviously will have some hits.

Bilas went to Duke so he's obviously intelligent and obviously not a UK or LSU fan. Unbiased observations criticizing Simmons for picking LSU. Simmons, the kid who is in academic trouble. So apparently intelligence just isn't his thing.

Pointed this out many times, UK fans get super butthurt. Prepare yourself.

Yep, it happens to everyone. I just thought it wouldn't happen to Simmons. Not saying he's a bust, it's just going to suck not watching him in the NCAAT.

It is what it is. Johnny Jones is a poor coach and will eventually get canned. I'm glad Simmons chose LSU though, will never forget him. Amazing player.

Yea, but LSU had way more talent on both sides of the ball. That game shouldn't have even been close.
