Correct and thank you for being honest. It was what it was, and it has happened to us before too. It happens to everybody.

quote:I will agree and disagree. I think he is talented, but I don't think his skill set fits Auburn's current offense. Despite both his and Gus Malzahn's shortcomings, he still had a quality season for Auburn and Auburn very likely beats Georgia and plays Alabama/Oklahoma closer if he doesn't get hurt multiple times last year.
White isn't a good QB (although I understand why you SECers might think he is)

I agree with this as well. We certainly would have beaten UGA with a serviceable QB. Hell, they couldnt even score on us more than one FG on offense. They were worse on offense than us.
White was just terrible in that game
Closer to Alabama? - yes closer. Closer to OU. yes. maybe some QB play and Pettway playing better would have inspired everyone but our defense gave up in the second half once the game was over

That first drive with White looked easy. And the Defense was playing well early. Once White went out, the Offense was done (similar to how it was most of the year). With Pettway limited, it didn't take too much to win. OU's talent was 4th or 5th in the SEC last year, but QB play elevated their position.

White wasn't good enough of a passer if Auburn got behind, which they did, and they needed to throw the ball more, to lead them to victory. He would've gotten picked off at least twice.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
No.
OU had two Heisman candidates last year that both went to NYC, a Biletnikoff winner, the OU career rushing record holder, the single game NCAA career rushing record holder, a 1st round talent RB that got drafted in the 2nd due to off field issue, and an Oline that is the #1 oline in the entire nation this year. The. Entire. Nation. You weren't going to win that game, and that's not "4th or 5th" level talent in ANY conference ANYwhere.

Well the TX, OSU, Houston and Texas Tech fans might disagree.

And those stats were built on playing a Big 12 schedule. The deal with Stidham is not how he played in the Big 12, it is how his passes looked in the Spring. Regardless of who it was against, he threw into very tight windows.

That's what impressed me the most. Good tight spiral. Gets there in a hurry. He also has touch on the deep ball. It looks like he can get chunk yards if the pass play breaks down also.

LOL!!!!! It always comes back to BIG XII doesn't it? When you're losing the argument, just say "BIG XII", even if your team just got it's arse kicked by the BIG XII.

It is an easy and widely accepted answer. Even the Committee accepts it.

A nail biter that went down to the final seconds?
How's that 8-4 life working out for LSU?

Just temporary. You know it's tough in the SEC. It's not like the PAC12 or BIG12 where it's a lot less pressure and the conference schedule is much easier.

It's a lot easier not having to face elite QBs anywhere on your schedule, cochise.
"At the snap, everybody flow to the RB!"

Seems like elite QBs get you zip in the big 12.
