Yeah, if the Texans take him the Milkman better get his arse in line. Gotta pay the price if you want to film HEB commercials with the best defensive player in the L

How can paying a man as dedicated to his craft as Clowney, 1st pick money, possibly go wrong?

Maybe more teams should've lined their punter up at LT since they could've blocked him.

Arm length does make a difference.... Do you even lift bro?? lol but seriously if you are a 20-21 year old kid who has been in a college program for 3 years and this is all you can bench; then your lazy.

@McShay13: Don't read into Clowney's 21 BP reps. Studies' have proven no correlation to NFL sucess. Robert Quinn had 22. He's pretty functionally strong.

The only thing this proves is that clowney doesn't care very much about lifting weights. Your leg muscles are the biggest muscles on your body and as long as he has enough leg strength to drive opposing lineman backwards that's all that matters.

FYI people with longer arms do have more trouble continuously lifting weights. It's simple physics the less distance you have to go the less work is required.

work = force x distance

according to the work equation Clowney is required to do more work due to his longer arm length

but

according to the work ethic equation

work ethic = giving a damn x commitment

Clowney is not cut out to put in the extra work to post respectable bench press numbers

You mean the Alshon Jeffery who was a Top5 FFB WR and who went to the Pro Bowl this year?

Well, he'll get drafted, find out the NFL is a whole different universe (that occasional all-star OT he contended with in college will be every week for 16 weeks) and he will put in the work...or not.

34 1/2" vs 32 1/2"

Either way, this is a complete non-story and really doesn't say anything about Clowney. The only thing it says is that that punter is pretty damn strong.

Julius Peppers: 24 reps
Robert Quinn: 22 reps (24 Pro Day)
Aldon Smith: 20 reps
Jason Pierre-Paul: 19 reps

Why is this a story?

Just proves that JC didnt put the necessary work in the weight room to be successful. He put up very pedestrian numbers this year and has been called out for being lazy multiple times

Physical specimen with zero drive. Ill take Dee Ford all day long
