Your reasoning that the vast majority are grads because a few out of a much larger number posted they were

not really as you just only recently started with the enrollment increase. Auburn for an example still has a larger alumni base. yall are catching up though

Why are we pussyfooting around the real issues.
-Other schools, like Bama, have trashy sidewalk fans.
Fact.
-Those schools include Auburn and Ole Miss.
Fact.
-Bama has plenty of reasonable fans and fans who are graduates.
Fact.
-Bama, like many SEC schools, has grown into a well regarded academic institution.
Fact.
-Bama has a higher number of absurdly trashy sidewalk fans than any other school.
Fact.
The end, hope that helps.

I don't get the correlation. Texas is a huge school and has a shite ton of t-shirt fans. Bama has a lot of graduates. And has a shite ton of t-shirt fans.

Remember, Bama was in the bottom third in enrollment 10 years ago. So that extra 2K per year haven't pushed out those toothless masses in that short of time.

You know that these two things are not at all the same, correct? Undergraduate enrollment and graduate numbers are significantly different from a percentage standpoint.
Yeesh, your response thread is half-cocked and poorly thought out.
It's not at all. Pretty easy to deduce that a higher student population will result in a higher number of graduates. 61% of Bama students finish a degree within 5 years. Right on par with the rest.
At the very LEAST, we have more people "who actually attended the university" than most other SEC schools. So there's that for half cocked.

Would love to see a link to these numbers for the whole SEC if possible.

I dont have it, but there was a comparison about a year ago between us. Auburn had higher student enrollment/graduate numbers for more than 30 years in comparison to Bama. This is up until your recent growth spurt. I have no idea in comparison to the rest of the SEC

Living alumni numbers are hard to find it seems like. I did see that Bama's endowment is bigger than Auburn's ($631 mil vs. $621 mil.) So congrats on that.

I always wondered how faculty who graduated elsewhere would fit in?
Posted on 1/20/16 at 3:28 pm to NYCAuburn
Per an AL.com article in 2015, Auburn has about 200,000 living alumni.

If you think that random OM poster (in a thread I didn't even bother to post in) is the single thread that set me off, Idk what to tell you. You've been around here long enough to know what I'm talking about. Those threads get started frequently, especially in the off season.

UA doesn't calculate those special entry applicants numbers in their equation. Bama's push for growth has caused those numbers to increase for in state students. UA is trying their hardest to keep the in-state numbers at 50%.
