The people who criticize Hoover are the ones who have never been. Generally the people who do go enjoy the experience. It is all about SEC baseball when the tournament is in Hoover. It is for people who really enjoy SEC baseball. If you need the Memphis or Atlanta backdrop to attend, then this tournament isn't for you. Keep watching on TV.

"It sucks"

Sucks is a very strong word. Could it be better? Yes. A lot of events COULD be better. While I think Hoover shouldn't have it exclusively, I don't get why it sucks. It's the most attended of all the conference tournaments and the parking and location are very convenient from the interstate.

After seeing what the new Nashville stadium will look like, I'm all for moving it there. That would be nice!

I think Nashville as part of a 4 city rotation with Hoover, Nashville, Memphis, and New Orleans makes a lot of sense. Keeps the tournament in a rectangle near its biggest fanbases and allows some change of scenery and new ballpark experiences.

Atlanta has football
Nashville has basketball

so cross those cities off for getting baseball. Memphis, New Orleans or downtown birmingham for 3 city rotation.

Old, stale park. Nothing (besides golf) in the area to do during the off morning/afternoons. Food options in the area are meh.

The only saving grace is the people are nice.

Until there is a dud of a crowd for one of those games there won't be a rush to move it.

A bad reason not to move it, imo. It would do well in Frisco every now and then.

And I'm fine with that. Hoover has meh arguments for why it stays there: RV parking and "if it isn't broke, why fix it?"

For whatever reason, the league's HC's love playing at Hoover & they are the ones voting to keep it there. It's there by contract for several more yrs as I recall.

2016. Field looks good, stadium is clean, I had a really comfortable chairback on row 5 right off of the LSU dugout this AM. You can pretty much sit anywhere you want to until Saturday. I get my eats at Publix so wouldn't know about restaurants but anyone that says they can't find good food around here needs to talk to some of these folks over at the rv park because they are always bragging on some good food over here. Locals support it well so they don't need the things Golfer needs. I wonder if Hoover can maintain the stadium (field) though without a team playing here past 2016. The grass is green, the dirt is brown, the lines are straight and I come to watch some the best college baseball in America. I don't need to be entertained in other ways. Watched the end of the Arkansas/Ole Miss game in the shade.

Outside of 2 or 3 select restaurants, the food in Hoover is a bunch of Chains. No thanks.

I'm there for LSU Baseball with a ton of downtime.

Heard the interstate was a parking lot. They might be on their way still.

Here's the new park. It is currently under construction and will be finished spring 2015. It's in downtown Nashville
