Move it to Omaha, so we can get used to it before the CWS.

I guess you could put it in Alpharetta and you could have doubled the 500 UGA fans that were here tonight.

The new Braves stadium would be awesome, but there would probably be scheduling conflicts every year

Alabama has to find a place to play next year. My guess is here in Hoover. They will move the fences in a bit in the alleys and deep center to make it more NCAA like, keep the field up and hopefully fix the dreadful wifi and sewer connections in the rv park.

It's a 10 hour drive from Pensacola. Not terrible.

Was in the Pensacola airport yesterday post-Hangout Fest. What's the flight from Pensacola to Love Field? 2 hours? From there a 25 minute drive up the Tollway right in to Frisco to the Rough Riders stadium.

I doubt it moves out of Alabama. Three of your four strongest traveling fan bases are MSU, Ole Miss, and LSU. I can't see them moving it further away from the people who actually show up.

Sounds like a simple & fun trip.
More of these SEC types would go for it, if they just stretched their legs a bit & got the hell outta Dodge every once and awhile.

How long will it take to get the cool shite around the stadium? Are they building the whole thing in one phase or building the stadium first and hoping to use the revenue to pay for the mixed use shite a la the new Busch Stadium?

Wouldn't Memphis be even better in this department. Also closer for Arkansas.

Memphis really is the best alternative spot for it. I heard Nashville was building a new stadium too...

Hell No to any Dallas subburb. Aggies need to remember that they asked to join us, not the other way around. Not going to move our baseball tourney closer to CS just to watch the aggies get knocked out in the first round.

Its fricking stupid that this tournament never moves. I've never been to the SECT.

The people who criticize Hoover are the ones who have never been. Generally the people who do go enjoy the experience. It is all about SEC baseball when the tournament is in Hoover. It is for people who really enjoy SEC baseball. If you need the Memphis or Atlanta backdrop to attend, then this tournament isn't for you. Keep watching on TV.

What is there to say?
The SEC extended the invite to Texas A&M.
End of story.
Relax.
No one is looking to change the location of your tournament to Texas.

You make a good point. I use to defend Hoover when this subject cqme up every year but the city did take the Barons (Double A team) and are now taking this tournament for granted. The Barons moved downtown as a result and the SEC tournament probably ought to. On the other hand, the problem is that the semifinals and finals games have been very well attended in Hoover without either Alabama or Auburn involved. Until there is a dud of a crowd for one of those games there won't be a rush to move it. I do think a rotation between Memphis, Néw Orleans, and Hoover makes a lot of sense though. The tourney moved around but stays with in easy driving distance of the biggest SEC fanbases.
