You all can talk "schedules" and SEC commissioners etc...but it all comes down to money. EVERY TIME!

Talked to a couple of attorneys that handle lost revenue claims, and they said that BR businesses could and will have extremely viable claims if the SEC thinks they are going to "force" LSU to move a home game, therefore breaching HUNDREDS of contractual agreements that have been signed every year by vendors for services and compensation to their workers in relation to the revenue generated by LSU home games. The domino affect of these claims would enormous.

The only way this home game is getting moved is if Alleva consents, and the same attorneys basically said he'd be cutting his own throat by doing so.

Cliff notes - Mark these words "11/19 ain't happening"

10/29 and fricking Jacksonville over by moving the WLOCP also isn't happening. So I guess according to you this game isn't happening.

But it would have been easy for Florida to move their game and get out of their contracts

Yep makes total sense

LSU fans have no idea if it's happening or not, but the funny thing is that you think your administration shares the same sentiment that tiger rant does

Alleva has said from the beginning that he doesn't at this point see this game getting played. UF had their chance. Alleva is not cutting the throats of a city recovering from a flood by placing further financial hardship on them. END OF STORY

Yep, which is what UForfeit wanted.

Which is why it was so fricking important to get the game in this weekend

I left this part out. When LSU home game was moved to Tempe in 2005 their were STILL claims filed for lost revenue. Obviously no one questioned that decision b/c of the circumstances that BR was physically unable to host and LSU AD consented to the move. However, they made sure the next one got played even if it was on a Monday night against UT, but then again I don't think we had as many starters out as UF...ahem

If the game is played, it will be nov 19th in Gainesville

Mark these words, that's the only way it will happen.

Alleva basically said he doesnt think the game will happen.

He does not want to play the game on 11/19 and that is the only realistic option.

I believe they will play it. The conference makes to much money , and can afford to make it happen before the end of the season. So take the dang tinfoil hats off. It will be played , yesterday's media complaints alone assured this!

Really is sad. Multiple different broadcasts made reference to the game being played on 11/19 yesterday as it's the obvious choice, but I guess L5U fans don't wanna play the game for some reason. Strange.

In the history of sports, has a visiting team ever sacrificed a home game due to a natural disaster in the opposing teams stadium?

It's hilarious that so many fans of other teams casually throw this solution out there without actually thinking about what they are proposing.

ETA: especially A&M, who has their own motives for the game being played then

No, the easy thing to do would have been to move the game back to today or tonight, contingent on whether or not Gainesville suffered enough damage to force the game to be moved to another time. (Which we clearly see hasn't been the case.) Didn't seem to be an issue for UGA and SC, did it?

Now, what was that again about making sense?

Stay stupid, Gump.

So the gist of this thread is that LSU will try to pussy out of this game on 11/19 just to have something else to cry over?

Got it.
