Agreed 100%, but the Tide got screwed in 1966 by voters trying to make a political point about civil rights.
All national titles are mythical anyway.

Some of our rivals complain about Bama claiming 1973 title (UPI) we split with ND (AP), even though it's legit because they were awarded before bowl games.
Same with the 1964.. where Bama earned both AP and UPI before the bowls, but Arkie cries about it.
1978, the "Goal Line Stand" against Penn State; Bama #2 beat Penn State #1, but because very early in the year, Bama lost to USC who later lost to an unranked team, rivals don't think Bama should count that one. Bama was AP poll Champs, Sugar Bowl Champs and SEC Champs

I honestly believe there are some LSU fans who would rather see Alabama lose than see LSU win. The majority of LSU fans who post here are pretty cool so this isn't directed at them but there is a vocal minority who are as bat shite crazy as any of the toothless, trailer park inhabiting fans that people like to associate with Alabama.

so lets see before 1936 alabama is the only team to claim nat.tiles right,i dont think so.when ala.won there first in1925 they beat washington in the rose bowl,back then that was the nat .title gamesorry that we won 4of those,jus go and look at all the teams that claimed titles before 36,yall act like bama is the only team to ever do it what a joke.
