Because we still didn't do it that much.

Stacking the box against that LSU offense would be having 9 in there.

Believing they shut down Fournette without having to sell out to stop him helps fuel their fragile egos.

It's all about fluffing their program.

Probably because they were arguing with LSU fans that claimed it was happening every play.

Does it matter? Les still ran the ball regardless

Seriously though. I'm fairly sure the LSU staff had plenty of access to game film, particularly of Bama playing LSU directly.

If they insisted on a rigid offensive game plan that ALLOWED Bama to put extra men on the line of scrimmage, that's on Les and offensive coordinator.

Seriously, their base offense had 9 players in the box. Why the hell would Alabama only stack 7 in there? That would be pretty stupid.

Neither. Bama fans are just retarded and don't actually know anything about football

One of the biggest issues on this site is the need for people to escalate both sides. I don't understand why people feel they need to keep upping the ante, like the truth is no longer good enough.

They didn't put 11 in the box but if you put 7-8 and the other 3 are guessing run (correctly) it doesn't matter.

Even if the safeties weren't lined up in the box, all 11 players were probably playing run all the way. Because we always ran and if you guessed run you guessed right like 80% of the time and Bama has good coaches with functioning brains

Do you think he means every single play? Or is it possible he means "Even when we stacked the box, they would still try to run it".

I mean if it's 3rd and 1, you're going to stack the box no matter what. I doubt they were stacking the box when it was like 3rd and 10.

I don't think the issue was ever LSU fans claiming it was a bad idea, it was an excuse for some to place on the game though.

It would be bad coaching not to play run on almost any play short of 3 and 15

Pretty much. I think the point in the conversations between Alabama fans and LSU fans about Fournette's struggles is that Alabama didn't really do anything differently than most teams when playing LSU. Alabama just had better personnel to stop the run than most teams have. You focus on stopping the run until LSU proves it can hurt you with the pass. It was a very base defense and LSU could not make Alabama get out of it or have to adjust.

bo Jackson ran a faster 40 than any human in history and Auburn is unstoppable after every spring game because the 1s beat up on the jv tards.

Yeah, because the program certainly needs fluffing. Hasn't done anything in years.

Honestly this is such a dumb argument. What difference does it make what Bama did on defense if it resulted in shutting down Fournette? Do LSU fans get more out of Bama doing it by stacking the box? What a little bitch thing to poke your chest out about.

If you have 8 men in the box or more, it is stacked. Simple concept
